Wow. This Saddam appologist seem to put out a lot of fake news. Was this guy really in charge of interogation?
I was at BIAP when the last load of yellow cake was flown to Canada, one of many such secret flights lasting a year.
Obama is the one who stopped operations in Iraq against islamic fundamentalists. ISIS main leaders were all Saddam Baath party ranking members. Assad also released islamists from prison to fill the ranks of ISIs so as to deligitimize the student protests and crush them.
WMDs were used in Iraq against US soldiers during invasion. Tons of yellow cake uranium were secretly flown out to CANaDa.
Saddam Hussein was a major force of distabilization in the mideast. Destabilizing Iraq ifself was a way to contain his revolutionary fronts.
I welcome what you say; but did Bush himself ever say there were no WMDs there?
I have always thought Bush should have defended issues like this even after he stepped down but to my understanding, he hasn’t.
Executing Saddam was in my opinion the wrong thing to do.
If I was the CIA, Saddam would be living at a nice (not sumptuous) house on an island in the lower Pacific with a few very armed guards.
Maybe a few more armed guards.
He knew more about mideast policies and the workings of Iraq than anyone else.
Bingo ..... Nixon the blue badge is BS’n still.
Indeed, so many really believe what they read in the popular press/carefully prepared govt reports as “truth”/
For those of us who were there, well, we were there...
The US Ambassador, April Glaspie, made the mistake of not being clear with Saddam that the USA did have problems with Saddam’s desires to settle the Iraq/Kuwait border. She met with him a few days before the invasion. Likewise, Dean Acheson implied that the Korean peninsula lay outside the US’s defense perimeter. Today, some people may be sending the wrong sign to Putin by bad mouthing NATO and giving the idea that we will not stand by our treaty with those 28 nations. Let’s hope Putin’s not so foolish.
If you really want to upset a liberal, ask them what president signed The Iraq Liberation Act of 1998. It wasn’t a Bush.

Did Assad Really Help Build ISIS? An Examination of the Evidence

Interesting research on ISIS.
Radiation danger in Bagdad and Iraq.
There are several theories why.
1. some soldiers got exposed when doing a cleanup and the DOD did not want to pay disability
2. Russians were involved in smuggling WMD tech by the truck load to Syria and Bush did not want to widen the war to WWIII levels
with Russia
3. In order to prevent AQ or smugglers from getting their hands on the stuff for resale, utmost secrecy was required. Only when the last flight of Uranium took off from Bagdad did the Stars and Stripes release information about the year long program
I was watching in French a report on Kurds in Syria, and in there the Kurds arrest paid Syrian government oil
workers working at refineries held by ISIs
