An antiracist poster in a college writing center insists American grammar is racist and an unjust language structure, promising to prioritize rhetoric over grammatical correctness.'
The poster, written by the director, staff, and tutors of the University of Washington, Tacomas Writing Center, states racism is the normal condition of things, declaring that it permeates rules, systems, expectations, in courses, school and society.
Linguistic and writing research has shown clearly for many decades that there is no inherent standard of English, proclaims the writing centers statement. Language is constantly changing. These two facts make it very difficult to justify placing people in hierarchies or restricting opportunities and privileges because of the way people communicate in particular versions of English.
In the introduction to its commitment section, the Tacoma Writing Center pledges to listen and look carefully and compassionately for ways we may unintentionally perpetuate racism or social injustice, actively engaging in antiracist practices before making nine specific promises to students.

Dat all jakt up, u feel me? 4reels.
So this is how language dies ... not with a bang, but with a thunderous “Yo yo yo muthafu**a, big up yo is dahn wit dat dog yo wat it iz”.
Could also be the genesis of ‘newspeak’
Oh stewardess, I speak jive...
So no language should have a structure because it changes over time? There are to be no rules that defines nouns and verbs and where they are placed in a sentence? This is sheer stupidity.
Rules are racist because stupid people cannot understand them?
You guys nailed it in the first two replies.
Everyone involved should be looking for a job.
Please tell me this is a joke.....
“Cash me ousside, how bow dah”, says the white girl...
You know, I can apply this same school of thought to mathematics and *finally* prove that 1 = 2.
Actually, we can do away with any conversion to the metric system since we can now say “inch” when we mean “centimeter” and vice versa since it is racist to correct any aspects of language now.
The writers of the AP Styleguide and English text books would disagree.
Actually, there is plenty of “racism”

Refer to The Bell Curve. These people are dumbing themselves down to caveman levels.
Declare the English language racist? Our beautiful language is beautiful because of the rules regarding structure, spelling and punctuation. For a long time teachers have been actively eroding our once proud language. Our daughter brought home a paper with misspellings and lacking any punctuation. She received an “A” and when we questioned the grade, in view of the mistakes, the teacher blew us off with “I don’t mark on spelling and punctuation, as long as the thoughts are there.” I’m sure there are worse examples in other courses of study but that was in 1973.
Common core has some horrible examples in simple arithmetic.
Yours is probably the best summation I have seen so far on the issue.
But these people are not only stupid; they're also dangerous and must be stopped.
Would the twits at this place be able to present any definitive examples to back up their assumptions?
I refer to proper US English now as “American” and the patois of low-IQ people as “poor English”. I actually describe people as being unable to “speak American”.
I guess African languages don’t have any grammar, so Africans can’t be expected to learn it. No, wait, they all have grammar and with my quick look at Swahili it looked more complicated than English grammar.
That remark is insulting to cavemen.
I declare the Writing Center has lost its marbles.
