Well .. I wouldn’t get too concerned about anything McCain says. He’s been beat up rather soundly the last couple of days, and I suspect his vote of confidence might be the result.
In fact, I’m hoping it is .. and that McCain has learned a great lesson. The Trump VOTERS are not going to allow him to besmirch the President, without having to pay a price in the media.
McCain pretends not to understand the “Press” ISN’T FREE - IT’S BOUGHT AND PAID FOR BY GEORGE SOROS, THE DEMOCRAT PARTY - AND A FEW REPUBS. But, if McCain continues to launch on Trump, he’s going to find that the Press he lauds .. will be only too eager to print all the unkind things said about McCain.
“McCain been beat up rather soundly the last couple of days, “
He has? As usual, he’s been treated like hero from what I’ve seen.
I served under him in Desert Storm. Very sharp man.

McCains Reform Institute donor list: (From the WayBackMachine. RI removed it in 2006)
Reform Institute greatfully acknowleges Sen. McCain as past Chairman:

I read his book Dereliction of Duty: Johnson, McNamara & the Joint Chiefs back in the 80s. McMaster was a young officer then, but that book was the best account of why we f***** up in Vietnam that I ever read. I also know he commanded tank brigades in the field that tore the hell out of Saddam's best forces in Desert Storm.
The guy is no arm chair General or Perfumed Prince.
i dunno but he was born here in philly and went to Valley Forge MA
None of it makes sense when even the media articles conclude he didn’t promise to overturn the sanctions. We know the leakers who leaked to the WaPo have a copy of the call transcript. Why not leak it if its so damning? Trump knew about this a couple weeks prior and didn’t even think it was a big enough deal to tell Pence, yet suddenly he fires him because Pence is offended (when per Trump he didn’t do anything wrong)? None of it makes sense except an ally was replaced who was in the trenches for a year with Trump, and the media gloated.
Rand Paul was interviewed this past weekend and thanked God that McCain isn’t our President because he’d have us at war in 6 or 7 countries. The left now idolizes McCain when they attacked him for being a warmonger in 2008. They’ve adopted neocon foreign policy!
I can only conclude Pence had to be behind the Flynn ouster. If Pence agreed with Trump’s assessment that what he said wasn’t a big deal, then Pence could have just told Trump to let it drop. I am disappointed Pence didn’t stick up for Flynn.
He’s an officer. Officers give each other medals like candy. The only one that means anything to me is the Ranger tab - and even then he’s still an officer.
He seems like a good guy from what little I have seen today. But, like Mattis, he doesn’t understand who our enemy is.
And that is the first, primary, central, understanding necessary for a warrior. Without that - you lose. Without that - you are a dangerous, amateur, fool.
the D party machine wants war, Obama the SorozNazi puppet tried provoking war against Russia at least a dozen times or more
they just LOVE having McShame and a couple other RINOs doing a lot of the provoction work for them, so the D’s can still pretend to be peaceloving (to try to trick some of their ‘base’ voters who are indeed peaceniks)
this makes McCain and Co DOUBLE-Dangerous, imho. DJT should publicly explain to the world (including Russia) that McCain does NOT speak for the American administration, which will choose what military actions are necessary to protect the legitimate interests of USA and our real allies. ALSO, I think DJT should make sure to reach out to Russia as a potentially good ally in the one really serious war we must win, that to destroy the Islamic threat against us all.
Some military actions are necessary, and indeed some should be completed early...before our known enemies complete their arsenals and deployments / infiltrations of Europe and USA and now Canada too
but provoking needless wars is a very very bad, serious, wicked thing to do. SorozNazi has already done enough damage, imho, his evil doings should be SHUT DOWN IMMEDIATELY AND PERMANENTLY, imho.
McCain has been beat up by conservatives and Trump supporters - a demo he cares little for. McCain would only be concerned if the liberals and his friends in the MSM were criticizing him, and they aren’t. This may be McCain’s last term (although I doubt it), and if that’s the case, he has even less to lose.
He’s a counterinsurgency expert.
When you are dealing in a tribalistic environment where you depend on friendlies to deprive insurgents of support it is a good thing if the friendlies don’t overhear your forces using a disrespectful term in a catchall way -not just in reference to insurgents but also in reference to the friendlies.
There has to be mutual respect between your forces and friendlies or else you’ll end up fighting everyone including people who otherwise would never have entered the fray, or who may even have been highly sympathetic to your goals.
Oh what a tangled web we weave, when first we practice to deceive.
He will reap what he has sown.
Well, I don’t watch CNN, so I wouldn’t know.
Soon I hope. He has gotten away with too much for too long.
I agree .. he’s so arrogant .. he think he’s the only person on the planet who has any answers to anything.
Sadly, he doesn’t realize most of the planet has figured him out a long time ago .. and that’s why HE wasn’t elected President. And, I’m glad somebody mentioned that today .. that it was a good thing we didn’t have McCain for President in this timeframe.
Not his call.
Prisoner handling regulations from the 1950’s (The Five “S’s) always stated that prisoners should be protected from physical and verbal assaults while being “Sped” to the rear. This is just s repetition of the normal rules of warfare.
And as a prisoner handler on the other side, I was glad the MPs and soldiers did not verbally abuse the prisoners, it made it much easier for me to “talk” to them.
It's not professional to use derogatory terms. The man sounds like a professional (with a superior record) who expects those around him to be professional too.
