I’ve been thinking that our IC has been very stressed since President Trump’s election. Perhaps some companion animals would help.

I’m thinking that yellow canaries would be the perfect gift to thoughtfully express our country’s concern.

THE LITTLE DUTCH BOY

Once upon a time there was a Dutch boy that all of the children in school and town made fun of. He was not handsome or strong. Because he was strange looking and did not act like all of the other kids, he was made fun of and bullied by the other children. This boy felt lonely and did not have any friends, and he even thought that life was too cruel and maybe it was not worth living.

One day, this little lonely Dutch boy was walking down the road with a bag of books on his shoulder. He was coming home from school, near a small village. While walking towards home, he at first heard the sound of water falling. The boy had been taught that if any dike leaks even a small bit, that failure of the dike can quickly follow, and that any leak must be plugged as soon as possible. Everyone knew that even a small tiny leak can quickly grown into massive breach that floods entire villages and towns far away.

As the boy went closer to the sound of water, he saw a small leak. A hole in the dike was squirting water, near the bottom of the dike. The boy knew that if the hole grew, it would very quickly result in a failure of the dike and that his village, plus many other villages and farms would be flooded.

So he dropped his books and rushed over without even thinking about it and stuck his hand into the hole in the leaking dike, and then called out loudly to the village for help. No one heard the little Dutch boy. He waited for hours, but no one came or heard him. The sun set and it got dark and cold. The Dutch boy cold, sleepy and shivered a lot, but did not take his hand away. He stopped the water leak, and he knew that if he gave up, the town would be flooded and many people would die. Despite it being very hard and very trying, the boy spent the whole night awake and with his hand holding back the water leak in the dike.

In the morning, as the sun came up, at least he was warm, although by this time, his hand was numb from the cold water. His head kept nodding off due to sleepiness, but he did not give up. It took several more hours of patient waiting and calling before several workers traveling down the lane noticed the little Dutch boy holding back the flood waters by plugging a hole in the dike with his fist. The boy had saved the town, as the workers called for help and quickly plugged the leak.

Because of his quick thinking, perseverance, bravery, selflessness and willingness to ACT in the defense of the community, the boy was honored as a hero who saved many lives, homes and properties. If the boy had ignored the problem, disaster would be the fate of the villages near that dike. If the boy had denied the problem the same dark fate would have happened.

A substitute Rush host who claims to be a former CIA analyst, had another CIA analyst on in October who said that it was undeniable that Trump was in collusion with the Russians. This host did not counter his friend’s words, either.

We have dumb+#!+$ as senior CIA analysts and we have Rush Limbaugh putting them on the air.
