Trump’s order gives a boost to bathroom bills in 12 states
Washington Times ^ | Thursday, February 23, 2017 | Bradford Richardson

Twelve state legislatures are considering bills that would require transgender people to use bathroom and locker room facilities based on their “biological sex” or birth gender, according to the National Conference of States Legislatures.

The tally provides an insight into how states might proceed now that President Trump has rescinded an Obama administration order that required schools across the country to allow transgender students to use whatever bathroom or locker room facilities they choose. Matt Sharp, legal counsel for the Alliance Defending Freedom, said the repeal will inspire a flurry of legislative activity at the local level.

only 12 states? It should be at least 40 states- because here is what’s going to happen- the NBA NFL and various big businesses are all going to punish every state that doesn’t allow men to use girl’s shower rooms- BUT, if enough staTES formed a coalition and stood strong against the crap- then it would be the big businesses and game networks that would suffer- We need to pray that enough states band together and resist the left’s relentless onslaught against moral decency

Has the NBA and NFL warned Trump that the US might not get any future allstar games?

Anyone know how this might affect the military? (I am aware of a military member who recently announced he wants to be a she.)

If the states want to do it, they’re free to. They just have to assume the responsibility for the practical and political consequences because they won’t be able to blame those on the Feds any more. Which is, of course, why they’re panicking.

Will be interesting to see what Texas does with its bill this legislative session. Lt. Gov. Patrick’s bill is a watered down version which would allow sports venues to choose what they want to do. Of course, Houston’s new mayor is trying to convince everyone that if the bill passes we will NEVER have another national sports event in Texas and will lose a gazillion dollars.

Still waiting for him to publish the balance sheet on the last Super Bowl. Understand they are asking the Legislature for lots of money to bail out the Police and Firemen’s Retirement funds. In the meantime, Houston’s top cop is not going to help ICE with any detention of the millions of illegals now living in the Houston area.

Democrat controlled Dallas and Houston are on the verge of going down the tubes and they are concerned about bathrooms and national sporting events.

Time to revisit the antitrust exemption for the NBA and NFL.

Maybe everyone should just go back to pissing in chamber pots and going into the forest for other business. That way nobody has to worry about whether someone has a penis, vagina, a venis, a pegina or are confused about just what it is they got going on down there and then nobody has to bother with the oh so delicate task of choosing which bathroom to enter. Goodness gracious this nation is fooking laughing stock.

NBA all-star game to do list:
1) find transgender bathrooms
2) find four-figure scoreboard

It’s a mistake to do this.
There shouldn’t be a ‘Law’ that restricts people from using the bathroom of their choice. You can’t legislate responsibility or common sense. It’s the soviet “if it’s legal it should be mandatory” approach. It should remain a social stigma without government comment from either federal or state. Laws can’t be used as a tool to enforce common sense social stigmas. If you make it into a law you’re only giving the left traction to push against. Those people know nothing but LawFare. And you’re literally giving them a case to fight against. They will have whatever laws you enact overturned within 5 years. And your restroom sanctity will be permanently overturned with it.

Don’t Take The Bait!

Leave it alone and the tiny fraction of America that chooses to take advantage of your tolerance will be largely ignored. They’re not aggrieved if they aren’t restricted. Ignore them and they’ll move on to another topic.

\\probably not a popular opinion but i’ll state it anyway\\

[[Laws can’t be used as a tool to enforce common sense social stigmas.]]

I disagree- for the reasons i stated- owning slaves was a ‘social stigma’ tat the government took over- While it was a violation of human rights- so isn’t allowing rapists access to victims by allowing men to use their showers dressing rooms and bathrooms- Government has a responsibility to protect people- our government is not only shirking their duty to do so, but they are creating a more dangerous environment as well

Businesses have to be very very careful that they don’t do things to endanger their workers- yet our government is apparently exempt from this same requirement because they are ENCOURAGING violent acts against women and children

Massachusetts is so damned despicable and dangerous that they passed a law allowing KNOWN sex offenders the ‘right’ to use women’s bathrooms

This isssue isn’t simply a social stigma issue=- it is an issue that affects the safety of our women and children

A social issue would be something like covering up porno magazines in public places of business, or keeping cigarettes out of sight of minors in stores etc=- This ‘transgender issue’ is farm ore dangerous- it opens the doors to showers, changing rooms, locker rooms, and bathrooms of women and children to ANY pervert who claims ot be the opposite sex solely to exploit this travesty and act on their perversions-
