FBI rejected White House request to publicly slam Trump-Russia reports

The FBI shot down a recent request from the White House to publicly blast media reports about the alleged communications between President Trump’s associates and the Russians during the 2016 campaign, a report says.

Multiple US officials who’ve been briefed on the matter told CNN that White House officials had been asking the bureau to say the stories were wrong, and that there had been no contacts between the two parties whatsoever — but they refused.

The communications between the Trump administration and the FBI are said to be a direct violation of government procedures, which bar contact during ongoing investigations.

A White House official told CNN on Thursday night that the request was only made after the FBI approached the Trump administration and indicated that they did not believe the media reports to be true.

BS. The Justice Dept oversees the FBI. This is NOT a special prosecutor.

"It all depends on what the meaning of contact is."

So the FBI comes to the White House and says the “Russian reports are inaccurate.”

The White House says, “No kidding. Why don’t you tell that to your friends in the media.”

The FBI runs to the media, and says, “The White House illegally asked us to shoot down the Russian reports.”

Deep state scum.

The FBI has a degree of independence, not complete but not zero.

The FBI is a large organization and this swamp reporter likely heard, if at all, an FBI swamp clerk talk smack about goings on inside the WH.

It’s a nothing report of a couple of nobodies who think themselves as somebodies vying to be important. DC has stewed in the Obama years into a bowl of feebleness.

So somehow it is against “government procedures” for the White House ask the FBI to tell the truth?

The FBI is totally unable to stop the national security “leakers” that have permeated our government for a long time. They can’t even……

find the leakers within the FBI itself. Classified information is being given to media that could have a devastating effect on U.S. FIND NOW

Publicly slamming what? The FBI has a job... it is to gather evidence and arrest. Publicly slamming might interfere with convictions. Comey (under Lynch and Obama) did not do the right thing with Clinton. That is obvious. But he did speak about her conduct, which absolutely interfered with future convictions. Absolutely.

I think keeping Comey on as director might have been a good transition decision, but that in no way means it is an ultimate selection. Is there an ultimate strategy being played out? I don’t know, and neither does anyone else except POTUS.

Methinks there’s a lot of FBI bureaucrats sweating on their collars and deleting emails today.

Yep—five weeks late is better than never for firing Comey. Of course, it will cause more of a stink now, but Sessions needs his own, loyal team.

Trump needs to build a experienced counterintelligence team within the White House to ferret out the leaks.

“A white house official told CNN”. Enough said.

Does a janitor qualify as a “white house official”?

Put a NAME with the quote and see how credible the source is.

Isn’t it amazing that we no longer hear ANYTHING about the Hitlary/Benghazi from the “report good things” media? Instead we hear all about the information leaks and “who done it”, all intending to make the Trump administration look bad.

Another twist for Post #6.

President Trump invited the Pope for lunch on his mega yacht, the Pope accepted and during lunch, a puff of wind blew the Pontiff’s hat off, right into the water.

It floated off about 50 feet, then the wind died down and it just floated in place.

The crew and the secret service were scrambling to launch a boat to go get it, when Trump waved them off, saying “Never mind, boys, I’ll get it.”

The Donald climbed over the side of the yacht, walked on the water to the hat, picked it up, walked back on the water, climbed into the yacht, and handed the Pope his hat.

The crew was speechless. The security team and the Pope’s entourage were speechless.

No one knew what to say, not even the Pope.

But that afternoon, NBC, CBS, ABC, MSNBC, CNN reported:
“TRUMP CAN’T SWIM”

More likely McCabe, whose wife HRC raised half a mil for to win her congressional seat.

That kinda dough don’t come with complications. Looks like Trump is letting the good guys and bad guys split before he takes an axe to them. FIND NOW = turn it McCabe.
