Trump’s State of the Union speech is going to be wild

In advance of President Trump’s first State of the Union speech, random busybodies are urging him to tone it down. One adviser from the bleachers suggests he be “humble and inclusive.”

Sweet, but I’m betting humble pie is not on the president’s menu. On the contrary, Tuesday night in the Capitol is likely to be a shock-and-awe blowout of pure Trumpism.

The idea that Trump must go mild has been a staple of the punditocracy since he announced his candidacy. That it still holds such a prominent place in his second month in the Oval Office reveals what slow learners media liberals are.

Although completely wrong about the mind-set of voters from start to finish, they remain steadfast in their certainty that Trump needs a personality transplant to satisfy the public. At least that’s what they say.

What they mean is that they won’t accept him as legitimate until he plays by their rules. They see themselves as Washington’s gatekeepers, entitled to deference from newcomers, with the added requirement that Republican presidents approach on bended knee. They use the hysterical reaction of their fellow Democrats as a bludgeon to demand that Trump conform to the progressive catechism. Milk and cookies to the distressed are recommended.

One adviser from the bleachers suggests he be “humble and inclusive.”

We are in an all out war with the forces of evil; do not humble yourself but continue to advance with great effort and determination.

Dear President Trump:

Please don’t mention The Apprentice, not even once.

Don’t give the media any attention at all.

Stick to pressing your legislative agenda, including your Supreme Court pick.

That’s all you gotta do to MAGA.

He needs to be dignified and forcefully in charge

The democrats are fixing to make real a$$e$ out of themselves in front of the whole nation and world

It’s going to get a record audience but not from the people who will buy what the democrats are selling

The alt media needs to run this speech with only one provocative banner

” what if these people had won?”

He should demand difference from them and at every opportunity viciously berate them.

He should be at their dirty, oxygen stealing throats every heartbeat.

I am so sick and tired of these panty-bunching concern ninnies from the so-called GOP AND from the DNC plants that purport all sorts of 'provenance' to exert defeatist influence on the AMERICANS that elected President Trump.

I, for one, didn't vote for President Trump to be humble and inclusive. I voted for him to fix this government that has become hell-bent on self survival at all costs - even at the expense of our freedom. I want it put under control or put down, period.

It may not matter but I was under the impression that this is technically an address to a joint session of Congress and that an actual SOTU won’t occur until next year.

Trump trashed the snarky WH correspondents dinner. He should follow Thomas Jefferson’s example and eliminate this preenfest that was a favorite of the empty vessel Obama.

They want him to be "humble and inclusive" while they have the hubris to find fault in every inclusive (for the People) thing he does.....Priceless!

Here's hoping he shoves it up their arses.

I'm looking forward to it.

Remember when Obama used the SOTU to berate the Supreme Court..?!

He should drag them all through the mud to be sure, but he should close it out with an endorsement of his hotels or maybe hold up a bottle of ivanka’s perfume.

Something to really really make them just viscerally scream.

The MSM not calling it a State of the Union address. It’s being called a joint address to Congress.

you are correct, not a SOTU. President does not give a SOTU address after 1 month in office.

Was thinking yesterday: if Trump is as on-task as he has been in his duties as President, his could be the first ACTUAL State of the Union speech in a very long time.

I am expecting blunt, even harsh words. Which we need. Not any more blather about "our (whatever) is strong".
