Bush emphasized to host Today host Matt Lauer the importance to worship freely.
I think its very important for all of us to recognize one of our great strengths is for people to be able to worship the way they want to or not worship at all, Bush said. The bedrock of our freedom, a bedrock of our freedom, is the right to worship freely. And I you see, I understood right off the bat, Matt this, that is an ideological conflict. And people who murder the innocent are not religious people. They want to advance an ideology. And weve faced those in the past. I am for an immigration policy thats welcoming and upholds the law, he added.

I guess Ex-President Completely Worthless Stupid-F&^$ never figured out that to a muslim, THIS IS an act of worship:
He should get back under George Soros' desk-- he's got some important work to do under there.
Good grief, the Bush family appears to be a collection of morons.
The keep using words that do not mean what they think they mwan.
So is Trump’s travel ban prohibiting them from worshiping? Bush grows smaller & smaller in my eyes every time he opens his mouth.
It’s not a friggin’ “travel ban”.
It is invasion protection.
Bush is selling a book and knew this garbage would come up. And he doesn’t care. That tells you all you need to know about what he thinks about the people who elected him.
He keeps his mouth shut for 8 years while Obama bashes him. Now he decides to open his mouth to attack Trump. This is a betrayal of conservatives who defended Bush against the more outrageous attacks from Obama over the past 8 years while he stayed silent. My opinion of Bush, while mixed to begin with, is dropping like a stone.
Sharia, killing, cutting heads off to me is the act of a death cult and not the freedom of a people to worship.
Bush, once a failure, always a failure.
It is a demonic system which expects jihad, Bush. Bush of Saudi Arabian interests.
The Bushes make me wanna wretch.
For 8 years W wouldn’t speak out against Obama because, well—and now a month in he’s on national TV trashing the righteous Trump agenda.
This jackass didn’t ever say a thing about Obama. NOW, he can’t keep his pie hole shut.
More of the leftist holier than thou crap.
I read his comments as neither a condemnation or endorsement of President Trump’s policy. Just a lot of basically obvious statements....freedom of religion, the existence of terror, the need for lawful immigration.
I like Brietbart, but sometimes it tries to find controversy where it doesn’t exist.
This is a betrayal of conservatives
Yep. And speaking of the “Death of Conservatism”: Bush is exhibit A.
It's hard to tell if they're all morons or not. GWB seems to be as lazy as Obama was. As a result, the Invisible Hand got to implement their agenda for 16 years.
Great point, but Jeb and Pete are only getting to the White House but buying a tour ticket.
There is an extreme difference between worshiping freely and willingly hiding Jihadists in their midst. BIG Difference.
Mr. Bush, I am really ashamed I ever voted for you.
Moderate Muslims are the tall grass in which Jihadi Terrorists hide undisturbed.
The bedrock of our freedom, a bedrock of our freedom, is the right to worship freely.

Not when ‘worshipping’ means beheading Christians.
Or, I might add, killing unborn babies.
A conservative would have agreed with Trump in plain English. He should have agreed with 80% of the rational American public.
You answered a question no one asked, Jorge.
The question is, why would we import masses of people with a 7th century mindset, many of whom want to slit our throats or blow us up? And as soon as they get here they start complaining that we don’t adopt their barbaric practices. Why should I support that, Pres. Arbusto?
