Agreed. Conceding that Sessions said ANYTHING wrong, ANYTHING incorrect, is a death blow....especially from President Trump.

We are not screwed, but I have seen some tactical errors lately.

I listened to Sessions’ press conference on satellite radio. Just before he started, a reportette, for Neil Cavuto, I believe, stated that Sessions had met with the Russian in July, “the month Russian interference in the election began.” There is no evidence of Russian interference, but that never stops the MSM and democrats.
I think this reporter should come forth with sources and evidence.

Must take one issue, though: I believe Special Prosecutors are a thing of the past. I think I remember the legislation expired some time back, and the Democrats were happy about that, what with what happened to Clinton.

The Democrats are overplaying their hand. They lost the election and now, they have lost their grip on reality. The real story is all of the illegal leaks of classified and other information. It is a total witch hunt!

So calling a spade a spade is "playing-into-DemonCrap-narrative"?

You're losing it, man.

This statement shows unequivocally that the President has his AG's back, and emphasizes the fact that this is just a political witch hunt.

This remains a war of morale, just like during the election cycle. Never forget that. You're allowing something to affect your morale that shouldn't.

Lighten up, Francis. The only thing that's "playing-into-the-DemonCrap-narrative" is gratuitous knee-jerk second guessing...

That clip is a classic — not only because it’s a foreign official telling CNN exactly what so many Americans are thinking, but because she’s a hot babe, too. LMAO.

Many have the same thoughts, but on the other hand, AG Sessions was smiling the whole time he made his statement.

Gotta wonder what that smile was all about.

It’s kind of a hell if he does, hell if he doesn’t situation.

Recusing himself from an investigation into the campaign is logical. Of course, Democrats NEVER would do this. The ‘right’ thing.

I think this is a small thing the media/dems have tried to turn into a big thing, and it will fizzle in the end.

Opinions vary though.

True. There is also strategy involved here. They’ve decided they want Session’s scalp and we already know they’re not going to get it because he is an honest and trustworthy man and perhaps to the chagrin of some FReepers, his Alabama style is non-confrontational and mor “aw shucks” than say, Chris Christy, who would have been pointing fingers and yelling right in their faces.

As good as that sounds to us, it’s the wrong way to play this game. The momentum is on our side, roll with it. Trump can raise his voice but let AG Sessions take one for the team if necessary, the play will be whistled dead, and the momentum will continue. Going on the attack over a non-issue like this would be a poor choice. After all, there’s nothing on the AGs desk yet for him to recuse himself from.

But by saying he will he has taken the high ground and set a standard that is far more transparent and ethical than his predecessors Lynch and Holder ever did. This will register with those who are warming to Trump after Tuesday night’s speech and they (independents, democrats and wayward Republicans) will see this as the kind of AG who respects the law so much that even a hint of conflict will be avoided.

Beleive me, this will work to our advantage in the long run.

There’s also a general ignorance about what Sessions actually did. They envision some kind of 1 on 1 meeting but when the facts come out everyone will hear that one of the “meetings” was a gathering of many Ambassadors where Sessions was present. And since no one has proof of what was discussed, we can assume he and the Russian Ambassador merely talked about their grandchildren.

NO.

You are WRONG.

The President said, and I quote: “He could have stated his response more accurately, but it was clearly not intentional.”

Democrats don’t care about intent. Democrats care about made-up scandals, and President Trump just played into their hands.

This was a mistake, and if you cannot see it, you are BLIND.

Every time the Left gets a new scalp, they up their efforts. This is the only way THEY can win.

If a 2nd Administration official goes down, they will increase the intensity when going after a 3rd. They are emboldened by every new scalp they get.

A big problem, too, is the undercutting of the administration coming from certain so-called Republicans.

It is a war on 2 fronts.

I'm hoping for 3D chess. I really am. I just hate that one concession President Trump made in an otherwise-flawless statement.

Congress did away with their ability to appoint a special prosecutor, although they could authorize it anytime.

The DOJ’s similar appointment power to investigate Executive Branch is called ‘Office of Special Counsel’.

Trump needs to realize this is a duel to the death and the Dems and Obama’s shadow government will stoop to any levels to bring his Administration down.

Right. Donald Trump doesn't know nearly as much about this sh!t as your average Freeper.

This place is losing its collective mind.
