Trump endorses RINOcare. Are we doomed?
Conservative Review ^ | March 07, 2017 | Chris Pandolfo

Posted on 03/08/2017 10:48:13 PM PST by TBP

The text of Republican health care reform bill to replace Obamacare was released Monday night. Tuesday morning, President Donald Trump offered a full-throated endorsement of the legislation put forward by House Republican leadership.

The bill is “out for review,” President Trump tweeted. Well, the CR review is in, and the bill is terrible. For the last six years, the primary complaints of Republicans against Obamacare were the unconstitutional individual mandate and the insurance regulations that are driving up the cost of premiums.

Neither of those problems are addressed in the RINOcare bill. A Republican version of the individual mandate remains in place to penalize individuals who forgo insurance coverage. The insurance regulations that require insurance companies to cover individuals with pre-existing conditions and the community rating regulation — the requirement that insurance companies charge even the sickest applicants the price of the community — are still there. These regulations are the reason health insurance premiums keep going up every year.

So the structural problems of Obamacare that make health insurance unaffordable for millions of Americans are enshrined in the “replacement” bill proposed by House Republicans.

Will these problems be addressed? According to the president, there will be a phase two and a phase three of Republican health care reform.

The problem is that the Republican Party promised a full repeal of Obamacare in every election season for the last six years. They won the elections in 2010, 2014, and 2016 running on full repeal. This current bill is not full repeal.

It doesn’t matter what additional changes they make to their replacement plan. If Republicans keep the structural problems of Obamacare in place, as they have done in this draft, they will not make health insurance affordable. Breaking a promise of that magnitude will have far-reaching political consequences that will knock Republicans out of power. Health care will likely be handed back to the Democrat Party and their single-payer socialist schemes.

Conservative Review’s Daniel Horowitz was clear when he wrote “It’s time for President Trump to lead, or this is over.”

Here is a sports analogy to make this point even more clear. Obamacare is the basketball. The GOP is the team wearing the green jerseys. President Donald Trump needs to be the coach.

Right now, in this pivotal moment, President Trump is not being the coach.

I voted Trump because of the borders, and thus far he’s done fantastic on that.

I don’t like this bill, but I’ll take every step in the right direction we can get. It make take several tries and many new bills in order to get to something acceptable out of this damned fake Congress.

He also said that Planned Parenthood does ‘wonderful’ things.

Didn’t stop him from gutting their federal funding. (And I was grinning the whole day.)

As it is, Pres Trump has earned enough of the benefit of the doubt from me. If this BS bill goes further, he WILL get a serious earful from me, or the unlucky intern on the phone will. At least one already has.

But I’m not going to run around in a panic. I want to keep a cool head and wait and see what happens.

Cruz was also saying prior to all of this, this is how one repeals Obama-care, if Cruz indeed, has the know-how, he should do it.

>>>Cruz was also saying prior to all of this, this is how one repeals Obama-care, if Cruz indeed, has the know-how, he should do it.<<<

How many large government programs have been eliminated since they started under FDR?

The simple answer may be that the republicans only pretend to want to eliminate these programs. How many repeal obamacare bills did they send to Obama? The fact they don’t do that now indicates they only passed those bills in the past because they knew it would be vetoed.

Yes, it’s Trumps fault that Congress has more cucks than all of Sweden.

I know it sounds like Trump is signing off on this POS bill. During the transition, it sounded like Trump and Barko Oblahblah were BFFs too. Now Trump has lit the ex-pres on fire.

Time will tell who’s right but at this point, Trump get’s all the benefit of the doubt from me, and none for the useless, backstabbing, lying scum of Congress.

In a month and a half, Trump has actually ACCOMPLISHED more conservative action than any so-called conservative in the primaries could even dream of.

BOOM!!

In the end, I think Pres. Trump will scrap this bill and will do the right thing.

If not, we will surely lose seats in 2018 — and maybe the White House in 2020.

The art of the deal perhaps? Let everyone else tell them it’s a bad program instead of him. The deep state is against him, so he praises it up while everyone else trashes it, and then says listen guys, we have to listen to the people.

Well he is working something out with the dreamers, Amnesty . so why wouldn’t he sign it. He stated he believes government has a role in healthcare. With a Trillion dollar stimulus waiting in the wings with childcare.. He clearly cares little for the working class. Heck we will need how many billions of created or saved jobs, just to pay for stimulus.

Trump said during the campaign that he had a plan which was cheaper than Obamacare, and offered better coverage and patient choice.

Why doesn't he send that plan to Ryan and McConnell??

There are only certain types of legislation allowed in a "reconciliation" maneuver, which requires only a simple majority vote. That is why some of the important facets of the "Repeal & Replace" action must be left to phases 2 and 3 of the action.

Which is why all of this estrogen-dripping, "Chicken Little," "The Sky Is Falling" hysteria is better suited to the Menstrual Ward at the local Women's Psycho Clinic than here in FreeRepublic. You knee-jerk lame-ass.

JUST REPEAL! The government can only screw things up. Stop the abuses, the frivolous lawsuits, drug company advertising which will also lower drug prices and THAT’S IT! We wouldn’t even have this mess if it wasn’t for Justice Roberts. Why is having government control a MINDSET now?

WOW! I’ll bet Trump was blind sided by the opposition to Paul Ryan’s healthcare proposal......... NOT!

When are these guys going to understand that Trump is so far ahead of them that he is having dinner at the hotel when they are still boarding the plane.

“Rope a Dope”. Trump just keeps roping these dopes and they don’t even realize it.

Mind picture calf roping. How many SECONDS?

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3yM0_GYu_No

6.5 seconds! WINNING! watch how excited this guy is about “winning”. That’s how I feel every time Trump chocks up another win.

I love winning, (with Trump)
