A media cameraman who tried, unsuccessfuly, to mediate the Bunkerville standoff gave hours of testimony Wednesday while federal prosecutors played shaky, handheld footage that provided a more dynamic view of the protests than anything previously disclosed on dashcam recordings.
The government called Dennis Michael Lynch as a witness after fighting ferociously earlier in the week to keep the footage he captured out of court.
Defense attorneys Monday had tried to use some of the videos to rebut a federal agent's testimony and prosecutors' decision to call Lynch reflected a strategic attempt to control the narrative as they continue to present their case against six men accused of conspiring with rancher Cliven Bundy.....
He gave emotionally level--but at times antagonistic--responses to lawyers' questions about the events of April 12, 2014....
A BLM ranger ordered the boisterous crowd over a megaphone to disperse. Lynch approached him, yelling, to ask what he was saying.
"At this point, Mr. Lynch, could you hear the commands of law enforcement officers to peacefully disperse? First Assistant U.S. Attorney Stephen Myhre asked.
"The video doesn't depict what could be hear.....There are two microphones attached to the camera," said Lynch, whose testimony was consistent with a defense script that protestors could not understand the instructions.
At one point during his testimony, Lynch blew into the microphone to demonstrate the muffle of wind, and the pink noise that ricocheted through the courtroom caused several people in the audience to wince.....

The federal prosecutors were trying to "control the narrative" as the reporter in this story puts it.
Did you see this:
I saw that story. Fascinating, indeed.
Is it unraveling?
Good question. The defense hasn’t even presented their case yet and the feds have been sweating it fighting over this guy being allowed to testify.
One fed said last week the ‘stand down’ order for their side came down Friday April 11th. The BLM was acting aggressively on Saturday April 12th after a ‘stand down’ order...
Who shot LaVoy Finicum, and why? Who chased Finicum and
his family, and why? - Was LaVoy trying to “surrender”
when he was shot and killed? (Finicum left a wife and
several children without a husband and father.)
A lawsuit by the Finicum family was envisioned but I haven’t heard the latest on any filing.
The Justice Department Inspector General still hasn’t come down on findings regarding FBI agents (Hostsge Rescue Team) who fired the first shots in LaVoy’s direction as he drove his truck into the snow.
marked
The HRT needs to be flushed. They are a waste of good ammo and do not work in the interests of our Republic.
pink noise
Whatever it means, the cameraman was demonstrating to the jury the noise at the scene of the standoff made it impossible to protestors to hear the BLM commands with their ‘sound system’.
Those videos LaVoy made just a couple of weeks before he
was killed showed a reasonable, intelligent man. In the
video when the “agents” shot him, he didn’t appear to be
trying to aim or shoot anybody. In fact, his hands were
raised in surrender, one or more of the women in his car
had been shot & it seemed that LaVoy was trying to direct
the “agents” away from more firing at already injured
people in the car.
Frankly, the original Founders of this country would not
have tolerated such outrageous behavior out of an out of
control Federal Government. Congress has $$$$$$$$ in place
of eyes and we seem to be NOTHING to them. IF you dare get
crossways of them, YOU are LaVoy Finicum. (He left a large
family of children who need their father.)
This gets more outrageous all the time. :o(
