All these Christian charities bringing in refugees have turned into major leftist lobbyists for Islamist refugees in order to keep their gravy train growing. They help to pull their churches to the left, too—which is yet another reason that Bush’s “faith-based” initiatives to put Christianity on the federal dole were a bad idea.

Where is the ACLU to complain about public funds going to religious organizations? Oh, I forgot: The rules are different for liberals.

Any church that is a member of The World Council of Churches is to be considered apostate. Flee from it. Immediately.

Lutheran Immigration And Refugee Services.

So the correct anagram is L. I. A. R. S.

Dubya’s intentions were good. I believe he reasoned that, with so much money flowing from the federal government, it would be good for some of it to go to religious organizations. Unfortunately, it has turned out to be bad for Republicans, the taxpayers, and the Churches themselves — to the degree those Churches want to remain spiritually pure.

Not only are we still funding illegal alien relief organizations, but DACA is still operating as if it were law and not something dreamed up by Obama.
It is still an illegal program even if operated by Trump.

Dubya didn’t have the necessities to be president and he never should have been—nor would have been without his father’s Deep State clout.

He should have simply reduced the money flowing from the federal government instead.

My denomination, the conservative Lutheran Church Missouri Synod, is not a member of the World Council of Churches. I don't believe the synod is participating in concert with the feds in resettlement programs in exchange for large sums of money. If anyone knows to the contrary, please ping me.

Apostate Christianity is warned against in the Scriptures as a latter day (end of the age of grace) event in the Scriptures, these will be spewed out of the Lords mouth (left behind) at the translation (aka, rapture) of the Lord Jesus Christ when He takes the church (saved sinners) out of the world to begin the 7 year tribulation preceding the return of Jesus Christ to Israel as King of all the earth for His millennial reign over all the earth.
We are at the prophesied door of a new age that only God can bring in, even the Kingdom age of Jesus Christ on the earth as Lord of lords and King of kings.

Leni, I’m a practicing Catholic, but if I were Protestant, I’d be a Missouri Synod Lutheran. (I can’t understand why any political conservatives in the ECLA haven’t left for the Missouri Synod by now.)

The way that is worded leads one to believe it means that those being helped entered illegally since the election.

These are the money changers Christ railed against. There is NOTHING Christian about them. They are worse than vipers.

That’s odd. Freepers keep assuring me that atheists are the liberals and all Christians are conservative.

We’re definitely not a member of the World Council of Churches but the LCMS does support LIRS...not without controversy:

iirc, Christian churches, including Lutherans (not Missouri Synod) used to support Rev. Jim Jones and Marxists groups in Africa. It’s one reason some friends withdrew from Lutheran church back in the 1980s. Then there is the disaster Lutherans and others created in Minnesota with their fetish for bringing Somalis here.
