Traces of platinum, a metal associated with meteorite impact, have been found at archaeological sites of the Clovis people across the US, suggesting that they were wiped out in a mini-Ice-Age triggered by the impact of an extraterrestrial object.

The Clovis people disappeared from North America about 12,800 years ago. Many of the large creatures they hunted – a total of about 35 species – went extinct at about the same time.

Maybe Meteor Crater in Arizona is not as old as claimed. 50,000 years or 12800 years ago.

Even extraterrestrial objects invaded and oppressed these native peoples.

Catastrophes happen but sometimes catastrophism is just an excuse for lazy science. After generations of denying that catastrophes effect the development of life on earth some scientists are becoming a little too quick to resort to the “a giant meteor did it” hypothesis. This claim needs more evidence.

................
They younger dryas was about 1600 year ....cooling... period. Maybe the meteor shower caused some melting but the resulting dust is reputed to have caused a sharp downdraft in temperatures.

Prior to the younger dryas the earth was warming. After the younger dryas the earth resumed its warming trend.

This is not the only data point. There has been a build up of evidence of this sort as to the reason for the sudden cooling and sudden death of clovis people and megafauna in a few short years at the boundary of the younger dryas.

No. That is a separate, prior group in theory. The clovis peoples are believed to be the ancestors of todays American Indians, The Solutrean hypothesis represents the arrival of peoples from Europe.

"wiped out in a mini-Ice-Age"

Note: Colder is worse. Warmer is better. Therefore global warming = good.
