President Trump should have booted Comey out on his lying, conniving ass on Inauguration day.
Now it is too late as Never Trumpers would scream that it’s an attempt at a cover up.
Not just Comey, most of DC. Trump is threatening the very livelihood of the Washington Cabal/New World Oder. They will not just roll over and die. This is all or nothing for them. Defeat/arrest/prosecution is not an option for them. I fear this can't be achieved lawfully/peacefully.
This is far more serious than most idiot leftist/media can possibly imagine.....
I too found the Comey-Gowdy exchanges interesting.
- Gowdy made it clear that, far from the intial 20 people mentioned by Adm. Rogers of NSA, the number ran to well over one-hundred, possibly twice that. Anyone in the National Security apparatus, any AG, various deputy AGs, the CIA, etc., could also break through the “un-named person 1” anonymity. There’s a lot of potential leakers.
- Although the media are trumpeting Comey and Roger’s testimony as saying Trump’s charges are baseless, I’m far from convinced. Comey and Rogers were very careful to say what THEY knew (or knew and couldn’t say), but it was clear they didn’t have a clue as to what the CIA might have been up to, or any devious paths that Obama might have taken to access information. The security apparatus is (justifiably) compartmentalized, and their saying “I don’t know” isn’t the same as saying “I’m sure... no!”
Screw you, Comey. Screw you and your lawless goons.
Yes I noticed their careful parsing. Also Comey likely does not want to be aware of any Trump “wiretapping” evidence so his underlings shield him. So he can go out in front of the Cong critters to “plausibly” say he has no knowledge albeit dishonestly.
Did any Republican ask Comey to square intelligence agency denials of wiretapping Trump campaign members with the Jan. 20th NYT article claiming that they did so? If not, how can this happen? How can they be so utterly incompetent?
We can’t hope.

Like I said, they could catch him and putin in a hot tub discussing the election and it’s war if they try to kick him out.

We obviously can’t do that at this juncture.
Plus I dont want that kind of trouble at all. But we have to see what comes, an then take appropriate action, whatever it may be even if we don’t like it.
It’s too late politically. Day one or two, no problem. (1st mistake) Comey’s admission of an active investigation into the Trump campaign provides him cover for a good while. Since Sessions recused himself (2nd mistake), that decision to approve the public release was made by the Deputy AG which is not a Trump appointee.
In my opinion, the only way Comey is fired now (would be a third mistake at this juncture) is if Trump or Congress (or some other means) brings forth information that shows Comey is complicit or incompetent. For example, if McCabe is complicit (reasonable) and Comey allowed it to happen under leadership, even if not having direct knowledge of it.

I dont care what dems or GOPe or media or CIA or FBI say, they want to destroy Trump. And they will never, ever stop until they do.

Listening to Comey today I got a sense of lies of omission coming from him. The lie is in what he won’t say or admit to.
