Where is Cruz ? Cruz has to stand up against this bill NOW
___________________________________________________
I think Ted Cruz along with Rand Paul will be the master technicians in the Senate to fine tune RyanCare and make it more palatable.
It’ll still be a crap sandwich. But the Senate will pretty is up. Put a nice bow on it.
That is - if this ever gets out of the House.
How do we know this defunds PP?
After all, I’ve heard that we have to pass this bill to find out what’s in it.
Because this is a CRAP BILL!
There's a very good reason that Ryan set the "agenda" to force this bill up before tax reform, infrastructure, etc and "drew it up" in a cloak room where none of the different factions of the Republican House would be able to participate in it's construction.
If you want President Trump to succeed, this garbage needs to die, and move on to other things.
Understand how the "swamp" works. If they get a crap piece of garbage out that hurts middle class Americans, Veterans, and gives Medical access to illigals, Trump takes the blame for it at the end of the day, because the RINOS turn around and say "We didn't like this bill, but Trump wanted it and we needed to support his agenda."
You are already hearing the set up with comments like "Trump won't be able to achieve ANY of his other agendas unless we pass this."
Obamacare wasn't named after Pelosi......this bill will be known far and wide as "Trumpcare" and he can kiss a second term goodbye.
I don’t know. I thought it was just how they played the game.
Is Trump about to become another Arnold Schwarzenegger?
I remember how all the Republicans were ecstatic when they elected the Terminator as the governator, and then became totally dejected and disappointed when he turned into worse than a liberal. That was the end of the Republican party in California.
I sure hope that’s not the case.
GOP: If we had a 41st Senator, we could stop this thing.
VOTERS 2009: Here ya’ go! Senator Brown in his spiffy red pickup!
GOP: If you get us the House, we can roll back this law.
VOTERS 2010: Here ya’ go! Git cracking!
GOP: IF you get us a majority in the Senate, we can fix this.
Voters 2014: Here ya’ go! Make us proud!
GOP: If we just had the Presidency, we could really do something.
Voters 2016: Here ya’ go! Surely now you can make a dent!
GOP: If we just had nine more Senators, we could do something...
Voters 2016: We’re beginning to feel a little like we’re being manipulated, but here ya’ go...
GOP: A couple of our Senators are a little wobbly, so a few more would be nice...
Voters 2020: What we have here is Failure to Communicate...
No, he'll be worse because he's nationwide.

I am so disappointed in Trump. We went from winning to watching him suck up to Ryan pretty damn quickly.
Ronald Reagan understood that politics was the art of the possible. He spoke of compromise many times, favorably. He once told James Baker, Id rather take 80% of what I want than go over the cliff waving my flag. Another time he said, If they give you half a loaf, take it. Then come back for more later.
This is EXACTLY how our liberties have been stolen, once thin salami slice at a time since the early 20th Century. To think that we will get everything that we want instantly is, to say the least, very naive. We should use the exact same tactics that have brought success to the Leftists/statists - just for policies that move us in the opposite direction. If the roles were reversed, the Dems would already have had this bill on Hillary Clintons desk - so why dont we have it on Trumps desk????

Sorry if I don’t agree that 1/6 of the economy is ‘one thin sliver at a time’. This ‘vote’ only goes to re-affirm (to those that want to see) that govt isn’t the solution to our ills...it is THE *cause*. This BABY-STEP (IF that) back, doesn’t count to sh!t after Olympic long-jump of Socialism.
It also shows why the 1/2 loaf BS doesn’t work...it’s never there if they cared to try to return for it (how’s that 1st amnesty work out??). *NOTHING* govt ever stays reduced; and anything rescinded can be re-instated w/ the next Congress or tyrant Prez/Judge.
Reagan, per your quote, would have rather gone over the cliff @ 20 (80%) instead of opting to never been a passenger. I don’t consider that ‘winning’ nor intelligent.
One does *NOT* compromise on standards/ideals/morals and expect to still claim to be stead-fast for the same; but I haven’t seen a politician uphold the Constitution in my lifetime (Reagan never used the full-force of govt in courts to dismantle anything...govt still grew under his Administration).
The (R), the last time around, gave us the Patriot Act, NSA, TSA, DHS, etc. Now? Ryan-TrumpCare and not ONE word of the (then) ‘horrible’ SCOTUS ruling. Tell me where’s the difference to the ‘opposition’??
All, or nothing. There is no ‘middle-ground’ per the Constitution. Close only matters in horse-shoes and hand-grenades. /ramble-rant off
Oh, didn't you get the memo? It's your fault because you didn't cave in enough! P.S. - Thanks for the cushy job. The steaks at The Palm are terrific!
Mandate? They passed a full REPEAL many times prior during their dog\pony show. Now? Oh, that’s not an ‘option’. Amazing, isn’t it?
Still, some blame Ryan, but I don’t see *anyone* ELSE (re)submitting the bill(s) that passed before...
‘Conservatives’ are the worst battered-wife victims I know: DHS, NSA, TSA, NCLB, TPP, PP, Exec. amnesty, blank-check budgets...now, *THIS*. (But, those (L)-leaners S-U-R-E are ‘kooky’ *rolls eyes* Look who’s in the majority...again. How much Freedom has been restored??).
“The irony is that the Freedom Caucus, which is very pro-life and against Planned Parenthood, allows P.P. to continue if they stop this plan!”
Poor logic, Don-o. Because ObummerCare allows funding for PP does not dictate that an ObummerCare 2.0 repeal bill should be supported, since the Freedom Caucus wants not only to stop PP funding, but to also stop the growing tenacles of the federal government into health care by means of RyanCare/TrumpCare.
Hold firm, Freedom Caucus!
I’ve been such a loyal supporter... since he came down the escalator with Melania. The one thing I ecpected him to deliver on was reasonable healthcare for the vets and middle class. How could he support a plan that doesnt lower premiums and deductibles for 3 years. People were expecting relief at least by the next open enrollment.
Nothing about this bill, takes PP out!
Do not be deceived by Paul Ryan, RINOs to make other changes later!
In DC, later never happens and conservatives lose their seats.
Remember, "Read my lips!"
Passing this bill be be the defeat of Trump and the Republican Congress.
The RATS had the House, 60 in the Senate, and President Sphincter when O’bastard care was passed.
We can’t get rid of it completely without 60 in the Senate. That’s just the facts.
Just stand back, Mr. President. Don’t let any of the stink get on you.
Trump has a point though.
“””It also shows why the 1/2 loaf BS doesnt work”””
I agree with you. I do recall the Democrats did not go for 1/2 half of the loaf when they were in control in 2009 and passed Obamacare,
