Trump supported Ryan.

Do ya’ think the House Freedom Caucus will support DJT when he proposes a border tax on currency manipulators and “free” trade violators?

Ryancare was a step too far. The FC decided they were done "going along to get along" with the GOPe. They weren't buying Ryan's bill of bulls*** goods. God Bless 'em for it.

I stand with the Freedom Caucus. I stand for Free Market Capitalism. I sand with Lou Dobbs. You are with me or you are against me. Period.

I stand with you.

They’ve got my thanks.

It’s just amazing to watch folks act as if 197 House Republicans are Conservative, and 40 are Leftists.

Haven’t they noticed the extreme minority that has made up Conservatism in the House?

Good grief. And now Ryan is supposed to be the best friend Conservatism ever had.

He refused to go on rally tours with Trump before the general election. He advised his folks in the house to do whatever they wanted when it came to supporting Trump for election, but now he’s the best and brightest to some folks.

Yikes!

The guy that didn’t care if Hillary was elected or not, is now our best friend > Yikes!

Oh good lord, get over yourself.

It’s one damn issue.

Swear the Christ this side has the biggest damn drama queens that love to act like trey are the toughest hombres to ever enter the political arena.

If people like you want that other stuff, then make sure the HFC is front and center to help move it along, and not just waiting to give their “royal assent” to what Trump can get through while they are off to the side hurumpfing and beating their chests over how awesome they are.

Now is the HFC going to do that?

They will be foaming at the mouth to stop him.

I agree.

Saying no is easy, leading is hard, but that is what we were elected to do.

Sometimes saying “no” IS leading.

If your 6 year old asked you for the keys to the car, would you give them to him or her, Ted?

Disclaimer: I am not comparing President Trump to a 6 year old. I will mentally un-FRiend any FReeper who tries to say such.
>

Maybe I missed something in the story, but I can’t see to find where Mr. “Lead, follow or get out of the way” brought forward HIS bill. Eh, tu, Mr. Poe??

Appears that the F.C., let alone the majority and ‘leadership’, need another refresher in the Constitution and A1S8. Maybe, some English classes to understand how a CLAUSE (IE: Commerce) does not negate the whole of the document, what the phrase ‘SHALL not’ means, or “and subject to the jurisdiction thereof”...but I’m talking ‘advanced classes’ now. /s

Ryan is not going anywhere. Nobody else wanted it and nobody else wants it now.

Did Trump give the Freedom Caucus the concessions it wanted only to say they wanted more?

Yep, they’ll oppose DJT because it’s somehow conservative for America to swallow yearly trade deficits.

Paul Ryan, before becoming Speaker, publicly ceded to the FC the power to stop him. He stated, as one of his non-negotiable requirements, that he would refuse the Speakership unless the FC [and two other caucuses] backed him.

The FC responded by giving Ryan a super-majority of their votes. If you go back and read their pro-Ryan comments from that time, you will see that they were quite enthusiastic.

Problem seems to be, you were expecting an adherence to their platform and election speeches. They’ve done PLENTY w/ their majority at every turn...it’s just never been for the advancement of Freedom a/o We the People.

Obamacare repeal, tax reform, immigration and refugee reform should have all been done within the first 30 days.

And give up their perks, graft\theft a/o positions of power??

Probably a good thing. When Mr. Poe's 6 year old asks for the keys to the car, he'd probably say, "No, but, here, take the motorcycle."

I agree, though. It would've been nice if SOMEone in the HFC had proposed a simpler plan.

I mean, c'mon, The Constitution is all of what?, a couple thousand words?

Does every Bill really need to be a couple thousand pages?

“Folks, you need to understand that there are literally only a small number of actual conservatives. The rest are free traders, amnesty pimps, and other assorted freaks.”

Spot on. The facts on the ground: The entire corrupt fed gov. is in open rebellion against the Trump administration. America is on the brink of survival and these lowlife POS in the repubikan party are still playing politics.

We need treason trials and hangings on the mall.

As long as there are lobbyists writing legislation and throwing millions of dollars at reps, nothing will change.
