No, he is not an idiot. I work with a Venezuelan offspring and he hates Trump. Watch your mouth.

Where is Venezuela’s Pinochet?

One man rule wonderfully identifies the lynchpin to remove in order to bring down a system. If I was Maduro I’d make sure a helicopter was handy and a plane and flight plan to Havana was waiting at Caracas Airport.

>What is more amazing is that in the whole country of Venezuela, suffering so much as it is, there is no group of men with the balls to take out the trash and save the country.

The government disarmed the middle class and gave the guns to under the class. There’s nothing to fight back with.

In Venezuela if you own the judges and the courts you own the country.

Sound familiar?

In other breaking news a judge in Hawaii has ruled that there were irregularities in the 2016 election of Donald Trumpand a restraining order was issued that restricts him from carrying out the duties of the President. The restraint order designated Chuck Schumer as the interim President while this issue is resolved by the courts.

It’s really the same thing, our judges until recently have been a little less blatant about it.

“What is more amazing is that in the whole country of Venezuela, suffering so much as it is, there is no group of men with the balls to take out the trash and save the country.”

It is indeed puzzling. According to a public US Customs report, Venezuela is the chief staging point for smuggling arms into the Americas. The country is overflowing with smuggled rifles and automatic weapons from Eastern Europe and Germany. I’d imagine that the Venezuelans could easily arm themselves with various versions of AK-47s and the Heckler-Koch HK 221.

I would not have used the term “idiot.” Possibly a misguided socially and culturally bigoted twit, but not an idiot. Most Venezuelans hate Chavez and don’t bring leftist values with them.

They often don’t like Trump, but that is because Trump has been very stupid in the way he alienated Latinos in his appeal to working class people against illegal immigration.

Good cause, dumb way to say it.

You should watch your mouth. Don’t let your tongue cut off your head. Very foolish to talk to me that way. You have no idea. Let it go at that.

Good point about the disarming. Desperate men do desperate things—to wit the Resistance in WW2 and the Warsaw Ghetto.

The military is evidently too scared to take on the dictator. Life must be good for them.

Unfortunately Nicolás Maduro isn’t an idiot when it comes to hanging onto power. He learned from China’s example and gave the Military farms and business to run to keep them paid and fed. This allows them both high status and plenty of money and women. He’s also filled the ranks with his socialist true believers so there isn’t much there to revolt with. I think it’s going to take an outside invasion to stop the madness.

blunt objects, knives, molotov, pipe-bombs...any number of ‘Anarchist Cookbook’ improvised tools, etc. Even a couple pieces of tubing and a nail make a decent enough slam-gun.

Whole area is likely replete w/ smugglers (we ARE talking Central A. here), just need to get one/two shipments to upgrade as you go.

Hell, wish *I* could get a few black-market types for SHTF time.

Thanks for that background—did not know that.

So it stands to reason that you stay loyal to he who keeps your belly full.

How fortunate we were to have the Founders of 1776 who risked everything for a radical new vision of government.

Here’s how the left handles people who resist:
They identify the area where the attack came from. Armed thugs who are not officially working for the government move in murdering, raping, and robbing at random. Anyone who fights back is arrested by the cops. So people don’t fight back for fear of reprisals.

Asymmetrical warfare is one of the great myths of the 20 century, it doesn’t actually work if nations are allowed to practice retribution style tactics against it, which because the media is leftist only leftists are allowed to get away with it.

Called it. We are now at #6.

1. Gain power by promising free stuff (and maybe add a little violence)
2. Redistribution - underpay the productive and overpay the unproductive
3. Production falls, prices rise
4. Implement price controls to fight inflation
5. Shortages become more serious
6. Government enters cycle of more and more dictatorial control and violence, diverting remaining resources to hardcore supporters
7. Revolution
8. Repeat - because people believe you can get something for nothing.
