>>>As long as they start with the left coast Im good with that<<<
Email Jim and volunteer to put the FR Server in your Basement so it will be safe from an attack.
Will do. I don’t include the FR contingent in that wish
I agree that we should put pressure on China to take this fat boy out.
A war with Korea would mean we could shut down trade with China. And we could dismiss the debt China holds.
No one wins that battle.
I don’t think we need to dump MORE money into defense. We merely have to spend it the proper way.
We need to get our armies out of the middle east. We need to let the Saudi’s live or die on their own. We have enough oil.
The problem is if we do that the dollar collapses with the end of the Petro Dollar.
That is going to happen pretty soon anyway. Perhaps we should educate the population about how that is going to work and migrate back to a backed currency.
None of those things are going to happen.
Does Krazy Kim understand that he won’t live long enough to enjoy the results of his attack?
Oh, I know that. If push comes to shove, I'm opening that old can and eating whatever is inside.
The only reason I rotate is because I don't want to give any expired food to the folks at the food bank. They do good work, and I am happy to support them. They get enough expired food from other sources.
Goode one!
Those two satellites have a name: targets. We should quietly remove them with airborne ASAT weapons, while they are over an ocean somewhere, with plausible deniability.

Time to retire, Capt’n
What’s “marshall law??”
Not the smartest plan.
The components begin to "recover" takes months to manufacture before the grid can be repaired.
No EMP attack by a tiny nutcase can take down the entire national system.
Rather than store nuclear waste in very hard underground sites, thousands of the large transformers necessary to be replaced can be stockpiled there, and the National Grid system restored in a "triage" fashion.
I am sure there must be dozens of natural caves nationwide to distribute the storage of the necessary replacement equipment.
Bombing N Korea back to the Stone Age, should be only a few days' work.
By the way, are the prevailing winds in NK from the south?
China might be concerned about that.

The obvious terrorist attack would be against the high voltage substations at the end of transmission lines. There are only a few dozen. A coordinated attack, say on 1 January, at midnight, by 25 teams of two, could put a large portion of the nation without power for months.
As you note, replacements take a long time to build. Hardening against EMP would include some replacements and hardening of these critical transformers.
Retire because I pointed out a duplicate post?
How sensitive are you?
Are you a snow flake?
