Public Opinion: The reaction to the latest IBD/TIPP poll showing President Trump's approval ratings taking a big hit has been, well, depressing. Liberals are shamelessly cheering it on while some Trump backers are blaming the poll. Both responses are misguided.
The poll shows that only 34% approve of the job Trump is doing, which is a low not seen since the last months of the Bush presidency, when the financial crisis was in full swing.
Clearly, the left's total war against Trump has taken its toll. Every day it is wall-to-wall attacks in news, entertainment, academia and every other corner of daily life. Rather than argue and debate Trump's policies — about which the public is largely in agreement — they've resorted to their favorite weapon: the politics of personal destruction.
So, congratulations, Trump haters. You've managed to drive down his numbers before he's had a chance to actually get much done.

his approval is low because:
1. there are no obama administration indictments
2. he didn’t tell the 9th circuit to go fk themslves
3. Ryan is still speaker
If I was an ignoramus and believed the crap CNN puts out I would hate Trump also...........but I have a brain and see what is going on and stand with Trump 100 percent.
Look at the internals. His approval among republicans is above 80%. This is the only number that matters.
The independents go back and forth and they are overpolling democrats ike hell. Overall the poll is good. It will be even better after the Gorsuch confirmation.

Good point. In 2000, Steve Jobs probably had a 10% or less approval rating among the employees at Apple. But he was doing what needed to be done to turn Apple around. If the new boss is popular in a failing company, it might be an indicator he is not doing what must be done and taking the difficult steps that are necessary.

I think the Red baiting having fizzled to being a laughable ruse, and the Mega Watergate spying on Trump just starting to be exposed POTUS Trump is going to make

Just imagine if we had an honest press. Front page articles featuring President Trump’ s frequent meetings with leaders in many fields as well as leaders of many countries instead of phony Russia collusion articles would give a very different impression. Most Americans probably don’t even know these meetings are happening.

Well actually it IS something to ignore because while the media is using made up and/or meaningless polls that STILL don’t talk to US, Trump is keeping promise after promise and the Democrats are busy making fools of themselves like monkeys dancing in the streets to beg for money from crazy people.
