He got rid of the Chemical weapons in his country. Has none. No reason to use them . Didn’t use them . We don’t dictate to sovereign governments with elected presidents unless we want someone dictating to us. IMO.

Bottom line is ,let’s hope that our Navy does not have to engage Russian assets in the area, all it takes is one ship to get to close or a radar system painting another ship.
I suspect that what matters here is not the surface ships, but the submarines in the area. Not just US and Russian, but also Turkish, Egyptian, Israeli and Iranian.
