The Texas attorney general led a 15-state coalition Monday defending President Trump’s revised immigration order, amid lawsuits opposing the plan to halt immigration from six countries.

In a friend-of-the-court amicus brief to the 9th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton, 13 other state attorneys general and Republican Mississippi Gov. Phil Bryant, laid out constitutional and federal statutory provisions defending Trump’s authority. The attorneys general also defended Trump’s “lawful actions” to revise the executive order, which was blocked last month by a three-judge panel of the 9th Circuit.

“The president’s revised immigration order is constitutional, lawful, addresses the 9th Circuit’s concerns and is a vital step in securing our borders,” Paxton said in a statement. “A temporary pause in the national refugee program will give the government time to review and determine how we can improve the screening process for

My state was going to be on the list, but it’s having surgery for having it’s head implanted for the last 50 years.

Trump WILL get his ban, sooner or later. But in the meantime he has already started to restrict the inflow by way of tighter background requirements.

The way Mrs. Brown has been taxing and spending like Madonna, that may not last much longer. A critical endangered species in Cali is the taxpayeria vassalageia, which, if lacking in the environment, quickly results in sixstateius solutionus.

Can anyone advise: would it be legal for one state to implement entry control / checking on the border with another? For example, a state that does not recognise sanctuary cities to implment border checks with a state that has sanctuary cities?

I agree. Strangely, the state is very resilient. Despite being under Democrat control for more than 50 years, it still continues to chug on. I think these same policies would have killed many other states.

It could be so much more, California. It’s just a damn shame what has happened here.

With the right leadership, it could easily have the third or fourth GDP on the planet.

Other than that, it truly could be almost paradise here.

It has been literally trashed.

So many millions of middle class producers have left to make way for the blight that flowed in.

Thanks.

California is an amazing state. I’ve often said that you can find a certain place in California that will remind you of just about every other state.

There’s almost no topography that California doesn’t have that’s found elsewhere.

Rivers
Streams
Lakes
Beautiful lavish meadows
Ocean beaches, cliffs, buttresses
Oil
Tar
Islands
a Sub sea level depression
Mountains the highest and lowest points in the lower 48 states
a Rich Variety of wildlife
Volcanoes
Amazing one-of Trees and parks
a Rich Variety of wildlife
the Massive rock formations of Yosemite Valley and other places
Fertile farmland for crops, fruit, and vinyards
Lush forests
Deserts
One-of Rock formations
Hot water springs
Rich mineral deposits

In some parts of the state you can ski in the morning and sunbathe in the afternoon.

All this has been tarnished by governance that in many instances limits the abundance we have been gifted with.
