Chief federal judge moves to prevent Marcus Mumford from practicing.....(OREGON STANDOFF LAWYER)

Attorney Marcus Mumford, who last month had criminal charges dismissed against him stemming from his arrest on the day his client Ammon Bundy was acquitted of conspiracy in federal court in Portland, now faces more legal challenges.

Oregon's Chief U.S. District Judge Michael W. Mosman is seeking to revoke Mumford's ability to practice law in any federal court in the District of Oregon, a rare move.

The judge has given Mumford until May 4 to argue in writing why should not impose such a sanction.

In a court filing Wednesday, Mosman cited Mumford's repeated failures or refusals to observe court rulings in the Bundy trial last fall, repeated instances of Mumford arguing with the judge with a raised voice and sometimes in the jury's presence, inappropriate commentary on a witness in the presence of a jury, his arguing for Bundy's release from trial after his acquittal "without a good-faith basis to believe that the pre-existing custody order" from Nevada was not still in effect and his yelling at the court when he objected to the trial judge's rulings......

"My initial reaction is 'the Empire strikes back,'" Mumford said in an email Wednesday, "I know of no court order that I violated and no reason to impose some kind of lifetime ban to practice law in Oregon."....

"For Judge Mosman to be the one who issues this order is especially disappointing because I specifically asked him to intercede on my behalf as a voice of reason in dealing with the marshals' misbegotten prosecution, but he responded to say that he was recusing himself It's as if he's now saying his recusals are selective," Mumford wrote in his email.

The spirited defense of Ammon Bundy last fall at the first Oregon Standoff trial by Marcus Mumford was instrumental in the acquittal of Bundy and six other defendants.

Right after the acquittal federal marshals tackled and tased Mumford, he was arrested and prosecuted until a federal judge from outside of Portland agreed the outside prosecutors to drop the charges.

Now "The Empire Strikes Back" as Mumford puts it with the top federal judge in Portland moving to ban him from practicing before the federal court in Oregon.

Only a kangaroo court would even entertain such a filing. A righteous court would file it in the round container.

Hold overs and President Trump needs to be informed of the mockery that is going on here and have someone put an end to it....crickets

The small justice in Oregon needs be replicated in the Federal State of Harry Reid (Nevada ) The Bundy family and friends are still persecuted. And the Federal government cannot give Lavoy Finicum back the life they took—nor his family the father they lost. If these were Criminals—Not the Patriots they seem to be I could understand the Government actions against them .They are Not criminals and I cannot agree with the enemy of my people.

I can not wait until the current administration begins impeaching a few of the rogue Judges. If we can get about 20 impeached here and there, the rest will get in line real quick regarding the constitutional law of this land.

Was up at the capital in Salem yesterday talking to my representatives about Real Estate issues. The Oregon Senate and House are majority D, and they are taking advantage of it. The government is soooo corrupt in this state, thinking of moving.

I live in this state and know very little about the events that took place in Malheur. Cannot get "truth" in this state anymore, its disgusting. The Oregon Congress has written and passed a new landlord/tenant law that forces the landlord to give tenants 90 days notice, even when you are trying to sell your house, the landlord must give them a months rent for free to move and they are implementing rent control and limiting the ROI (return on investment) to 2% at best, thinking maybe 1% is all the landlords should make on their Real Estate investments. They truly believe they have a say in how much you can make on the return of your investments, they are taking charge of that now.

This is democrats, all for the tenant/little guy, oppressed, illegals, they don't care a wit about the producers and full time workers that are not making it. The contempt and disgust with the voters, especially if you are a professional is palatable and uncomfortable.

A judge was found floating in a river yesterday. Won’t take too many of those...

I think the chief federal judge in Portlandia should be removed for failing to remove the judge who assisted an illegal alien in escaping from waiting ICE agents.

It sounds like an abuse of power by the judge (unless I am missing something). Isn’t that grounds for impeachment of a judge? Two can play at that game.

“A judge was found floating in a river yesterday.”

That’d make for interesting PsyOps.

Imagine, if you will...

A single, plain, white envelope containing ONLY a newspaper clipping of that story delivered to this guy’s HOME address.

Loose the power of the subconscious mind as one garish image after another presents itself to the consciousness, as one dark screenplay after another parades across the stage of the mental theater.

Sadly, it is not the administration that impeaches federal judges, it’s Congress and the current GOP doesn’t have the balls for that.

It is judges that have ruined this country by not following the constitution and adhering to the rule of law. I don’t think we can claw it back from them without ending lifetime appointments. We need an amendment to walk it back to 10 or 15 year terms with a limit to two terms.

It reminds us of the fact that Republicans and Democrats both give us bad judges that need to be dealt with in some way.

Donald Trump has gotten smacked on border controls by the federal judiciary and seems content with the ‘appeals process’ for now.

Bad judicial rulings cannot be allowed to continue with silence or perhaps inaction, depending on the situation.

I’ve read somewhere that Abraham Lincoln during the Civil War went so far as to put federal judges under house arrest to prevent them from ruling in favor of people in the North who opposed the Civil War and were being punished for it by Lincoln.

If leaders are wnwilling to oppose judges, then it goes to the people.

A court packed by Communist presidents annulled the legislature in Venezuela the other week and the people took to the streets to push for removal of the judges by the legislature and the national ombudsman.

They were met with tear gas and rubber bullets and the protests continue into this week with at least 4 dead and many injured.
