For about half the US’s history, you had to own property to vote. Not just ‘be’. Need to get back to that, or at least restrict voters to those paying net taxes. Net drain on society? No vote.
I’ll be happy to cede my right to vote, as soon as you stop taxing me. Given that I pay about $50k/year federal, $20k/year FICA counting match, $15-20k state taxes, and around $10k in local/property taxes, I think that would be a fairly good deal for me.

If you take any welfare you don’t get to vote for 20 years from the date of last use. That is corporate, farm or personal welfare.
