The deranged gunman who randomly executed an elderly Cleveland resident and posted footage of the killing on Facebook has possibly fled the city — and may be on the loose in another state, cops say.
Police warned early Monday that residents in Pennsylvania, New York, Indiana and Michigan should be on the lookout for 37-year-old Steve Stephens, who is driving a white Ford Fusion and is believed to be armed and dangerous.
“Suspect may be out of state at this time,” officials said in a statement. “Those outside of Northeast Ohio: Contact Local Authorities.”

Facebook is going through a Looney-Ville-Magnet phase the same way Craigslist did about 10 years ago.
With Craigslist, people just had to become more watchful.

There may be something in the Terms of Service that exempts them from most liability. Some conditions the user has to agree to in order to start using the service.
Facebook is far more an expansive, and specialized type of web service. They too may be guarded by a team of lawyers.
Still, something should be done about the growing frequency of people committing serious crimes and livestreaming the events via Facebook. There may be some delaying tactics employed for anything with certain intensities of violence.
People won’t like it. Facebook without tight regulations has the most appeal and the most potential for dissuse.

Any confirmation of that footage? I’ve since heard that was photoshopped.
Of course the footage of the murder is legitimate. The Cleveland police department confirmed the victim was murdered and that they are looking for the guy. Facebook confirmed the video was uploaded from Steve Stephens’ account, but that it was an actually live video stream.
Don't think it's fake. The dead man's family was interviewed in an article that's up on Daily Mail.
