Police in Germany have charged a man suspected of being behind an attack on the Borussia Dortmund team bus.
Rather than having links to radical Islamism, he was a market trader hoping to make money if the price of shares in the team fell, prosecutors say.
The 28-year-old, identified only as Sergej W, was staying in the team's hotel in a room overlooking the street where the explosion took place.

Updated story in last hour in Germany. The guy put down 79,000 Euro on a “put”....that the stock of BVB (the team actually was a publicly traded stock)....would decrease. If he’d been correct and the cops hadn’t noticed this angle...the journalists say he would have made around 3.9 million Euro.
One of the key parts of the story is the IP address he used to wage the ‘put’. He checked into the same hotel as the team, and made a huge fuss to be on the front side of the building. Apparently he used the free wi-fi of the hotel, and it’s rumored that the IP for the ‘put’ goes to the hotel.
The whole neo-Nazi suggestion or the ISIS-connection? No....this was a Russian guy who had some background in money-laundering. Maybe he had some connection to the mafia in Germany as well.
As for jail-time? If he’s convicted of twenty-odd attempted murder charges, I think he’s looking at life in prison.
Not a madman, after all; only an ordinary criminal. Just damn!

This is going to be hyped a good bit. Stock manipulation, attempted murder, and some Russian money-laundry crime guy? I don’t think the guy has much of a chance to avoid a stiff sentence.
Last month, they had one immigrant guy who had built some pipe-bombs which never went off. German judge brought the guy in for sentencing. Life term given. All of this crime and threat business is front-page news now in Germany...public looks at politicians, journalists, and judges with negativity.
Just damn..A russian with mob connections. .just damn
What is the origin of the name “Serej”?
