House intel panel invites former acting AG Yates to testify

The House Intelligence Committee on Thursday asked several senior Obama administration officials, including former Deputy Attorney General Sally Yates, to testify publicly in the panel’s probe into Russian interference in the U.S. election.

The committee has also invited FBI Director James Comey and National Security Advisor Adm. Mike Rogers to return before the committee to testify in a closed setting.

The Yates hearing would be scheduled after the Comey and Rogers appearance, slated for May 2. Former CIA Director John Brennan and former Director of National Intelligence James Clapper have also been invited to testify with Yates.

The timing of the two hearings has been a point of fierce partisan contention on the panel and has been one of many fights that has threatened to explode the committee's investigation.

The open panel, featuring Yates, had previously been scheduled in March, but was canceled by committee chair Devin Nunes (R-Calif.).

Invites? Did the house intel panel say “pretty please” too? Pathetic.

Will anyone be under oath?

Will Rep. Elise Stefanik be allowed to pursue the obvious questions?

"the panel’s probe into Russian interference in the U.S. election."

The people with lots of guns who voted for President Trump have lost interest.

They can have their little Kabuki show over Russia, but it had better end there, or there will be trouble.

For them.

Why are liberals so happy about this?
What do they expect vs. what is a likely outcome?

No one will testify. The civilians will plead the 5th for %th time. Comey will complain about the “setting” and reveal more about nothing and continue to drag his feet.

These people have learned there are no consequences. The POTUS can not hurt them. Congress can not hurt them. And that their life goes on.

With PAY, bonuses and resort style retirement.

Apparently we all remain the still cooked geese we always were.

What this calls for is true American Leadership.

The corruption is so deep and embedded it must be blown apart with dynamite for all to see how they have operated for decades.......................

Do all these people get some sort of extra pay for every “hearing” and meeting they conduct? I can’t see any other reason for all this nonsense.

Another 8 or more hours of hyper-partisan questions from dueling members of the house committee. It’s like watching “The Five” on steroids.
