It amazes me that the left is now embracing the 10th amendment (States rights). And again this Judge is saying that not on action but on the comments of the President and the Attorney General he has decided to act. Defund/break up the 9th Circuit. It’s our only hope.

It's really an 'advisory opinion'- which is not a judicial function. Very trregular- a PR stunt by a judge.

"That said, this injunction does nothing more than implement the effect of the Government’s flawed interpretation of the Order. It does not affect the ability of the Attorney General or the Secretary to enforce existing conditions of federal grants or 8 U.S.C. 1373, nor does it impact the Secretary’s ability to develop regulations or other guidance defining what a sanctuary jurisdiction is or designating a jurisdiction as such. It does prohibit the Government from exercising Section 9(a) in a way that violates the Constitution. "

The last page “CONCLUSION” doesn’t sound too damaging.

If the left is going to legislate by fiat in the courts, where lone judges can legislate well outside the realms of the law and the Constitution, it’s time to kill off what is left of the filibuster and ram thru legislation that defunds the 9th Circuit. Show them that the other two branches of government have teeth as well.

The ruling doesn't do anything.
It's really just 'advisory'.

"Advisory Opinion. A court's nonbinding interpretation of law. It states the opinion of a court upon a legal question submitted by a legislature, government official, or another court. Federal courts cannot issue advisory opinions because of the Constitution's case-or-controversy requirement."

The Counties challenge the enforcement provision of the Order, Section 9(a), on several grounds: first, it violates the separation of powers doctrine enshrined in the Constitution because it improperly seeks to wield congressional spending powers;

That's pretty rich, coming from cities that have violated separation of powers by failing to adhere to their obligations under federal law.

F ‘em. Separation of powers, ignore the Obama appointee, if possible.

Can Pres T mimic Andrew Jackson, saying (paraphrase) “Ok, you have your order, now let me see you enforce it.”

The judiciary should censure him for this.
There is no ‘case or controversy’.

Wow, he’s a real piece of work: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/William_Orrick_III

DJT now possesses the Bully Pulpit to do pretty much whatever he wants to judicial activism. He says ‘that’s THREE times a judge has ruled against Americans’ safety. No More.’

And at 63, he’s likely to be on the bench for a long time. Best hope is for Trump to get Congress to break up the 9th circuit.

Where do these black-robed thugs think they get the authority to stop the President of the United States from following the law? Far-left judges disgust me. I hope he is impeached, removed from office, investigated until his crimes and embarrassing secrets are made public, shunned by all decent people, and otherwise given a hard time (within the law) by the decent people of California.

I left out divorced by his wife, because I assume he’s not in a real marriage. In California, he might have a pretend “husband”, but how many women have standards so low that they would marry a judge like this thug?

I hope Trump remembers it is leftist judges pulling this nonsense when he appoints to the judiciary and doesn’t allow his daughter to influence his nominees.
