DURHAM, North Carolina -- A Durham woman was arrested after throwing lighter fluid on her son's Eno Valley Elementary School kindergarten teacher and threatening to burn the building down, according to an arrest warrant.
Durham police said that teacher Megan Jones had arranged a parent-teacher conference with Shequella Sheala Leonard, who became irate at accusations of her son's behavior.
About five minutes into the meeting, the school principal told Leonard that she needed to leave the building, and the group, which included Leonard's son, exited into a hallway, police said.
Once in the hallway, Jones told police that Leonard pulled a bottle from her purse and began spraying a liquid on Jones' arms, face, and chest. Jones ran away from Leonard when the liquid began burning her eyes, police said.
Kindergarten is serious business.

Somehow I knew even before reading that the name would be something like Shequella.
Durham...lib heaven.
Guess if she had a sex change her name be Hequella Heala.

Let me guess...mom was there because the kid had behavioral issues?
What a coincidence. That has to be, oh, perhaps the 25th person I’ve known or heard of with the name Shaquella that had a hard life, got in trouble a few times as a kid, was turning their life around, preparing to go to college, and an aspiring rapper.
Maybe she just wanted to light a fire under the child :)

Yep they had the meeting to discuss her son’s behavior.
Seeing as how the mother clearly has anger issues and a low boiling point, if the apple doesn’t fall too far from the tree, it’s easy to imagine the son caused trouble in school.........

Hard to imagine why this child would be acting out in kindergarten. Racism, perhaps?
