No standing to sue until ‘Jack Doe’ is punished

The Virginia Supreme Court knocked down a challenge to a school board policy that added “gender identity” and “gender expression” discrimination to the student handbook with little parental involvement.

Student “Jack Doe” and his parents sued Fairfax County Public Schools last year, saying the new protected categories weren’t defined and Jack could be suspended for saying or doing anything that potentially offended a transgender peer.

The interim solution is simple: Do not use any names or pronouns when referring to these mentally ill snowflakes. As much as possible do not play with, work with, talk to, talk about, or otherwise have any interaction with those who are so special that offending them can ruin your life. Shun them so they will be unable to complain with any actionable specifics.

The long-term solution is also simple. Eventually we have to start treating mental illness instead of celebrating it.

Not quite. A statistician who used to work for me got called in by HR, his immediate manager, and the top manager at his location for counseling. The complaint was that he had repeatedly refused to use "they" when referring to a mentally ill coworker. He used "he" because the coworker was a man, then "it" because he was told referring to a man as "he" was very nearly a hate crime. What "they" want is for us to join them in whatever delusions "they" are suffering under.

The only answer at this time is to ignore them and pray for them.
