Emmanuel Macron, the centrist and political newcomer, defeated far-right candidate Marine Le Pen Sunday to win the French presidential election.
With all votes counted, the passionately pro-European Union Macron had garnered 66 percent of the vote to just 34 percent for Le Pen, who had promised a Frexit referendum should she win the election.

Side comment: Notice that Fox News calls Le Pen "far-right". And Macron is a "centrist". How nice. To my way of thinking, that makes Fox = CNN.
Good-bye, France. Nice knowing ya.
Young, no political experience. Reminds you of whom? Charles DeGaulle?
He’ll be even more unpopular than Hollande before it’s over.
I predict another terrorist attack by the end of the week.
I was just going to say that. Macron is a socialist globalist and Le Pen is a moderate France first politician. In ONLY the FAR LEFT is Le Pen far right.
Macron is just Merkle’s puppet.
Nice going, Pierre.
Have fun drifting off into THE OBLIVION.
France just signed it’s own death warrant. When I was in France in the town of Chamonoix, I was dragging bags of climbing gear from the train station to my motel and had frenchies cross the street to yell at me. Don’t know how they knew I was from the USA, but I wouldn’t help them for anything now, ever. F-france.

More like Chelsea Clinton. At least de Gaulle smelled gunpowder.
Let’s look at this a different way. Maybe now some of the snowflakes who can’t deal with President Trump will emigrate to the new “progressive” France.
La France est morte.
“I predict another terrorist attack by the end of the week.”
Oh, easily. What a shame.
Well, cr@p. Guess I won’t be Trump Bumping THIS thread. What a shame.
FOX is gone....
C’est la mort!
Islamic Republic of France is inevitable.
More of the same for France.
I am for an open society. I am for a progressive world. I do not propose to reform France; I propose to transform it at its deepest level.
“I was dragging bags of climbing gear from the train station to my motel and had frenchies cross the street to yell at me.”
You were likely not dragging your bags in properly accented French!;)
