Maher is the living, breathing definition of the word "smarmy". But he said this on cable - you have to go out of your way to get HBO and pay good money to bring Maher into your home. If that's your taste, have at it.

Stephen Colbert, on the other hand, uses the public's airwaves to insult Trump using the kind of childish sexual slurs most of us outgrew in middle school. That's how degraded over-the-air broadcasts have become in the US. Colbert and fact that he's still on the air is the problem, not Maher.
