>>This country’s problems are not going to be solved by elections.<<

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

I’m not sure if this is true; BUT, if the situation ever does become so dire, I think we will all see the benefits of the Robinsons keeping FR off the cloud.

In short, it will be our best hope of continuing to communicate.

You've somehow gotten the idea that it’s possible for Democrats to defend their own, but the GOP “can’t” do likewise. It doesn’t even make sense on its face.

These Democrats have led their own party to disaster by giving unwavering partisan support to anyone in the party -- including Democrats who have undermined the party's own agenda.

The Republican Party's success across the country in the last forty years was driven by this pathological behavior among Democrats.

That's how THIS guy ended up being the face of the Democrat Party today:

‘I can however face reality. He screwed up the most important half of his first four months. Needs to do it over—fast.’

Instead of Never-Trump, how about, Always-Gloom-and-Doom?

“Most comforting news I have heard about this Mueller appointment.”

Did you happen to catch Alen Dershowitz on Tucker Carlson last night? He is a lefty and no Trump supporter, but insists that even if Trump “colluded” with the Russians during the election, and even if he ordered Comey to stop the investigation, there is no crime in either. Dershowitz is a legal and constitutional scholar and considers himself a defender of civil liberties.

I found his argument quite compelling and even comforting, and I’m sure Trump, Sessions and Mueller all know this RussiaGate thing is a nothing burger. By appointing a special prosecutor Trump bought himself a two year reprieve from all of this BS.

Apples and oranges. Weiner holds no elected office and hasn’t for some time. Still there’s no flood of Democrats fighting over mics to condemn him.

Trump is POTUS, and he’s facing a barrage of vicious attacks. If McConnell and Ryan chose to, they could support him daily. But they are swamp creatures who enjoy the Trump pile on; he’s their enemy as much as he’s the Democrats’ enemy. That, and that alone, is the reason there’s no DC chorus of Trump support.

Very astute observation.

Yet, I think they underestimate Trump if they think they can wear him out.

“I wish Trump would have suggested the special counsel. It would have made all the demos look like fools.”

He probably did.

If you were a Freedom Caucus member, would you feel any obligation to defend a president who singled you out for public criticism for your refusal to support a fouled-up GOPe health care reform bill that would have cost you -- as well as President Trump -- a lot of grassroots support in your own district?

Yes, I would.

Given what the Swamp is trying to do this President, Republicans defending him vigorously is their primary duty to the Republic—which is at risk due to these Democrat machinations.

To do anything less is to be some kind of petty, blind fool—Freedom Caucus or not.

It's about time the GOP learns about displaying unity—especially in the face of an existential threat to the party's future. I got news for some people: if the President fails, the Swamp prevails—anyone who doesn't realize that is a f-----g idiot.

So I'm not buying any of these lame excuses for refusing to defend this President. The whole Congressional GOP and the Freedom Caucus can go to Hell—and they will—if they don't get off of their selfish asses and start fighting back against this attempted coup—there's no other word for it.

The GOP members of Congress should be every bit as angry as the People they supposedly represent. If they're not, they're not paying attention. This isn't some kind of game.

You're either against the Swamp, or you're part of the Swamp. That's where the battle lines are being drawn. Choose wisely...

Same old Ted that disappointed us earlier.

Contrariness seems to be his default setting. Its probably what led him to become an attorney. I think it's his Achilles' Heel.

‘The GOP is trying to wear down Trump so he won’t run for reelection. LBJ is the correct historical parallel.’

Great analysis. Agree completely.

Yeah, and with Pence forming his own PAC they are not even hiding it any more. I’ve never been more disgusted with the GOP. Ever.

>Trump needs to stick a sock in his mouth for once.
All he’s doing is giving the insane libs and RINO’s more fodder.

Trump shutting up is what the Media wants. This is a media and deep state coup and not self inflicted.

The only thing that should come out of Cruz mouth is the media and Democrats are running a witch hunt and must be stopped.

People are giving grief to Cruz because they learned to absolutely hate Cruz during the primaries, and they’ve never moved on. Their hatred burns to the core of their beings, and expresses itself whenever given the chance.

“Cruz is an illegal immigrant Goldman Sachs lover who should be deported back to Cubanada.”

Yup.
