Making high profile comments like this throws fuel on the Trump-haters’ fire, hurts Trump, and helps only the left. If Cruz believes this, then there is a more constructive, helpful way to communicate it to Trump.

Just more proof here that career politician Cruz’s loyalty is to K Street and not Main Street.

If Trump is the victim of a coup, then patriots will recognize things are so bad that our Constitutional Republic is under attack. When voting and legislating are set aside, decisions get made by force and power.

We are just about there.

Will there be another Civil War? I’m afraid that’s a real possibility.

“There is no damage. And the Republicans will never impeach Trump. Trump knows it and they know it.”

I agree with the second part - as long as Trump holds his supporters, he cannot be impeached. The first part - NOPE...this does damage. If I were a Dem on TV trying to split the Republican Party down the middle (thereby isolating Trump supporters), I’d say something like “...even Ted Cruz agrees that Trump has caused many of his own problems”.

That stuff is damaging.

I would agree with that, but DOES NOT mean he has to say it. Cruz has other options than to side with the Left, like he also did with Chicago.

And Cruz harms the conservative agenda he claims to support. A weaker POTUS means less chance of wall, etc.

Just more proof here it’s all beltway theater smoke and mirrors with Senator Cruzman Sachs. What a fraud.

What burns me up more is the lack of full Republicans supporting President Trump. If Trump is removed from office the Republican Party is done. America will slip back into a communists liberal land and with no protection from invasion both foreign and domestic.

...some President Donald Trump political problems were “self-inflicted.”

Cruz said something similar when the Obama/Soros paid thugs shut down Trump's campaign visit to Chicago. Cruz blamed it on Trump's rhetoric and his violent supporters. We know from the O'Keefe tapes that this was nonsense. The violence is coming from one side only, i.e., the radical left.

Trump's "problems" are not self-inflicted. The Dems, MSM, #Never Trumpers, and the GOPe have created this phony Russian collusion narrative that borders on insanity. The purpose is to take down Trump, pure and simple.

*************

That Canadian/Cuban/American is pontificating the truth. That said all of us have problems
that are self-inflicted. The question becomes have we address them and try to solve/improve
the situation. Cruz should be helping with solutions rather than judging.

“The Canadian born senator is right in this instance.”

It’s not a question of right or wrong, it’s a question of whether you say it in public or private (as noted by someone above). All Cruz accomplished by saying something this STUPID is to light up the Dems and the NeverTrumper for the Sunday shows.

If Cruz really supports Trump, he needs to be BEHAVE - if not, he needs to flat-out tell us Texans, so we can replace him with a decent candidate for the election next year.

Ted likely agrees with Peggy Noonan’s hit piece today and vica versa...either they are stupid or tin eared or cheering for an overthrow.

I’m finished, too. I’ll stop voting. We will then be officially in a banana republic. We’re half there anyway.

We are on the same wavelength. See my post #67. Blaming Trump is just another meme to take him down.

‘What burns me up more is the lack of full Republicans supporting President Trump.’

This, in a nutshell. The GOP is no better than the Democrats. They all hate Trump. But only Cruz supporters blame Trump for being hated by his own party. It’s something they have in common—the ability to look at any situation and realize that Trump is at least partly to blame.

I agree...

No President Trump, No Country. I will move to another Country. America will NO longer be America.

Ted Cruz is no better than the media, talking heads and the radio show hosts, they are ALL owned by other people and only talk when told to and told what to say, and they don’t even write their own bills...

Nope, if this should happen, I will not be a part of it again!!!

Yep. Cruz et al need to STHU. Go to bat for Trump instead of denigrating him or supplying folder to the Lyin Media

there will either be a third party or millions will permanently sit things out if Trump is impeached or forced to resign, ESPEIALLY after barely a peep re hilLIAR and Obama

I wrote my local party chair and told him and others to start SPEAKING OUT agains this witch hunt........

Any politically motivated GOPers can just look at GWB and Jebbie to see their future if they dont support trump and SPEAK OUT about this BS

Have you thought of sticking a sock in your mouth? ‘Cause you’re giving the Never Trumpers here comfort and joy.

It disgusts me how even freepers speak so disparagingly about the president.

Trump was essentially a third party candidate, he ran Republican because he knew he couldn’t win the Democrats nomination, and he would be banned from debates unless he was on the major party tickets. Even Trump barely won considering the states he won like Michigan were a really close call. Cruz has no real chance.

Take down the Trump agenda. Trump will never be impeached and convicted. The GOP isnt that dumb. Marco Amnestio knows he’ll never win without Trump voters. Trump got 70% of the vote in many Florida counties. So instead we get a soft coup basically.

Removing Trump is the end of the GOP. They know that. So they will try to weaken and neuter him. Then ram through business as usual spending bills like they just did.
