Isn’t this the college where the women went all apoplectic a few years ago, when the Board suggested opening the college to men? If that’s the case, why the hell did they let a guy who THINKS he’s a woman into the school?
That would be nuts, they are already far gone if their budget is this far out of whack. The “endowment” of a college is supposed to be permanent investment funds, only “income” earned off those investments should be used in the annual budget.
They should not be spending any endowment funds, that is why they are contemplating faculty cuts etc. They have been living beyond their means and it is time to pay the piper.
Couldn’t happen to a more deserving bunch of leftard clowns, running their little indoctrination center in the Bay Area.
MAYBE ONE course in Math, Computer Science, Philosophy OR Natural Science course.
But they’ll also have a course in “Race, Gender and Power” so that they’ll be CONFIDENT enough to dismiss people who know what they’re talking about.
Here’s a weird lesson I learned within the past couple of years. Needed a geologist familiar with SE FLA limestone formations, and their relation to water table.
Being a cheap bastard looking to mollify the bureaucrats involved, I called the local university and requested a grad student. Now, I love grad students. They have absolute state of the art knowledge in their field. They work cheap and when you comp them 20% in cash a couple of them actually get the message that they may have left money on the table. I love to see egg heads deal with the cognitive dissonance between theoretical and applied.
But this time the University sent over a MA candidate in Geology. Wtf is a MA in Geology? Geology without the math, which was worthless to me. I needed quantitative results. I got the new and improved Masters in Geology that’s is nothing more than a PR person in training.
So be careful, what used to be an MS degree has morphed into an MA degree. They are not the same.
