Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler has urged the federal government to revoke a permit for a “free speech” rally and to refuse a permit for an anti-Muslim march planned for Portland next week.
Wheeler made the request in light of a gruesome stabbing on a MAX light-rail train Friday, May 26. Two men died and another was seriously injured when they intervened to defend two teenage girls from a man’s bigoted tirade.
In a series of posts on Twitter, Wheeler said the events should be canceled.

So one guy is ranting on a train so two others "Intervened"? In this case, what does 'intervene' mean?

Did they tell the ranter, “Hey, that’s hate speech, please stop because that’s not who we are”? Or did they initiate the physical violence by attacking and jumping on the outnumbered ranter?
These are questions which have gone unanswered, yet this was supposed to be on a train that’s full of people. Where are the witness statements? Where is the suspects side of the story? The cops said they were reviewing video from the train. Where is the video?
Who cares what the MSM says? Nobody except their braindead followers who still believe all the hate crime hoaxes that have been exposed. These people lie about everything.
The beleaguered citizens of the leftist-dominated State of Oregon need the uplifting free-speech experience planned by the organizers!!!! Perhaps they even need a Trump Rally, whenever our President can schedule one!!!!
And we must march against the enemy totalitarian political ideology known as islam and its sharia law until they are driven from our country!!!! “islam hates us!”
The minute you allow a pro march and disallow an anti march, you turn into a fascist.

The guy who made the remarks is offensive but who started the violence?

I thought the rally was a pro-Trump and pro Free Speech rally. How does that translate to an "anti-Muslim" march?

If they want to protest, they must arrange their own event.
