Kiddie choirs. Childrens piano recitals. And a full-on, erotic drag show complete with gyrations, tongue gymnastics and a flashed G-string.
Families at a Manhattan public school talent show got an unexpected lesson in human sexuality when a grown man took the stage in a black, sequined dress and flaming red wig and performed a raunchy drag number where he grinded the stage and spread his legs.
The official public school Learning Expo held May 25 in an auditorium at the Museo del Barrio was billed as a talent show for students from across Manhattans District 4 to show off what they learned in school.
But at the end of the two-hour event, parents and kids as young as 5 were shocked when a man identified as Public School 96 Parent Association President Frankie Quinones took the stage and did an explicit lip-synch performance of a song by the campy 1980s Puerto Rican music sensation Iris Chacón.
People were horrified, said Raquel Morales, who was at the event with her son, a fifth-grader who attends a public school in District 4. It looked like a nightclub performance. Ive been asking for an apology from the district for the last week, and theyve been ignoring it.
Morales said about 200 families at the evening talent show took in student art and writing exhibits from schools across the district, including Public School 83, River East Elementary School and PS 96.
The parents sat through endearing performances by children who took the stage and played the piano and drums and sang for the student performance portion of the event, which District 4 Superintendent Alexandra Estrella emceed.

School Principal David Pretto declined to comment at the school and neither he nor and Estrella responded to requests for comment. Quinones couldnt be reached. Education Department spokesman Michael Aciman said school officials havent faced disciplinary action over the mini drag show.
This was an assault on innocent children folks. Plain and simple. The left and the radical homosexuals have been at war against innocence, parents, children, and God for years. How much longer will we allow them to get away with this?
Isn’t exposing pornographic material to minors against existing laws?????
But it looks like he waxed
Raquel Morales, with her son J.D., on Thursday. Morales said people were horrified after watching the drag show.
Then, parents said, (District Superintendant) Estrella introduced the final act of the night, billed on the event flyer as a Special Surprise Performance! At that moment, Quinones, who parents said performs in drag clubs around the city, took the stage in a sparkly black dress and pumps and began to shake his hips as a slinky Iris Chacón mambo blared from the public address system. Parents said families laughter turned to disbelief and then dismay as Quinones opened his mouth and exercised his tongue in a suggestive manner....Then he dropped to the ground and began to writhe on floor. He rolled onto his back, spread his long legs and flashed his white underwear to the shrinking crowd.
At best, the school will issue an mealy mouthed "apology" that means nothing.
These people have to be fired and charged with crimes, including Child Endangerment.
Did they all get up & leave??
It's Manhattan and those parents, who have their kids in NYC public schools and should know of this guy, are shocked? What a bunch of naive morons.
Yes. There are several Child Endangerment laws. I am not a lawyer, but one is a felony:
"Felony child endangerment is a child endangerment charge enhanced by aggravating circumstances. Child endangerment occurs when a person engages in conduct that places a child in immininet danger of death, bodily injury, or physical or mental impairment."
The problem is that as a society, we have been cowed into supporting homosexual deviancy as "normal." In fact, in many states it is against the law to provide counseling to children to steer them away from homosexuality or sexual perversion! That's right - it is ILLEGAL to even tell them what is right and what is wrong.
This is Satanic. It is evil.
Over 90% of the horrified parents vote Dem.
Is it a chemical definciency or a mental illness that allows these people to be horrified by the monster they wrought?
I’ll bet dollars to donuts that creep was at more than one of their upper east side’s house for dinner.
Enjoy the suck liberal idiots.
Don't blame the parents who went to see their 5 year old little child sing in a choir, or blame where they live. That happens all too often on Free Republic.
Someone who lives in a certain state is ridiculed when a government official or ridiculous law assaults their liberty and freedom, and then we get this posters that crow that they are superior because of where they live.
That blustering is nothing but prideful sin.
We are all in danger. Free Republic is all about defending our Constitution and our rights.
You blame the wrong people. There are decent and bad folks everywhere, in every state, and in every city.

I thought drag shows were part of Hispanic culture?
OMG!!!! OMG!!! Plus “he/she” is PRESIDENT of the PARENT ASSOCIATION???? Get your kids out of PUBIC SCHOOL!! AN I DO mean Pubic!
Yeah, really, and no bluster. What percentage of them voted for Hillary and just “know” that Trump is Hitler? I don’t live there but have been there enough to not be surprised by this. dp0622 is right about Staten Island’s difference. These people live in Manhattan and know or should know what’s around them. Tough, no pass for them.
I'm with you; I would have left. I might not have made a big deal about it in front of young kids: "Let's go get ice cream before this ends and we get stuck behind a crowd", but I would have left.
If you go back to the 1920s...what would have happened is that a couple of folks would have had a small grocery bag with them, and likely tossed tomatoes at the drag queen. That would have been the more appropriate manner of handling this. I doubt if NY cops would even react to tomato-throwing.

And you didn’t even pay attention to what I said. If they want to live there and raise their kids there, fine, I’m not faulting them for that, that’s their choice. But to be shocked and horrified by this? Given the place in which they have chosen to live and raise their kids? No, they are messed up, have no clue what is going on around them and for that they are at fault.
Yes, the pervert is president of the parents’ association, and the district supervisor is in on the perversion, as she is the one who introduced his act.
I don’t want to even begin to imagine what kind of disgusting filth is in the curriculum.
Recall, Obama had hired as his Safe School Czar a degenerate who encouraged a homosexual relationship between a man and an under-aged boy.

Safe school czar encouraged child sex with a man
September 28, 2009
A teacher was told by a 15-year-old high school sophomore that he was having homosexual sex with an older man. At the very least, statutory rape occurred. Fox News reported that the teacher violated a state law requiring that he report the abuse. That former teacher, Kevin Jennings, is President Obamas safe school czar. Its getting hard to keep track of all of this presidents problematic appointments. Clearly, the process for vetting White House employees has broken down.
In this one case in which Mr. Jennings had a real chance to protect a young boy from a sexual predator, he not only failed to do what the law required but actually encouraged the relationship.
According to Mr. Jennings own description in a new audiotape discovered by Fox News, the 15-year-old boy met the older man in a bus station bathroom and was taken to the older mans home that night. When some details about the case became public, Mr. Jennings threatened to sue another teacher who called his failure to report the statutory rape unethical. Mr. Jennings defenders asserted that there was no evidence that he was aware the student had sex with the older man.
However, the new audiotape contradicts this claim. In 2000, Mr. Jennings gave a talk to the Iowa chapter of the Gay, Lesbian and Straight Education Network, an advocacy group that promotes homosexuality in schools. On the tape, Mr. Jennings recollected that he told the student to make sure to use a condom when he was with the older man. That he actively encouraged the relationship is reinforced by Mr. Jennings own description in his 1994 book, One Teacher in 10. In that account, the teacher boasts how he allayed the students concerns about the relationship to such a degree that the 15-year-old left my office with a smile on his face that I would see every time I saw him on the campus for the next two years, until he graduated.
