I am from Massachusetts, and we know how that goes in every election.

I went on a cruise to Bermuda a couple of weeks ago, and there was a comedian doing a show. I thought he was pretty good, then he started to dip into politics, and I thought “Uh oh. Here we go...this is going to suck. Should I get up and leave?” (knowing how these things go, especially on a ship where the vast majority of passengers are from Massachusetts)

The comedian said “Who here hates President Trump?” which was followed by a reasonably loud response from the crowd...not suprising.

Then, he said “Who here LIKES President Trump?”

The response significantly dwarfed that of the anti-Trump portion of the crowd.

I was surprised, but...gratified. That was nice to hear. Maybe there is some hope someday for this state.

You miss the point.

You ever watch an expert magician, and notice how he fools the audience? He uses misdirection.

The sequence of events in the misdirection trick. The effect in this magic trick was the disappearance of a lighter. In this trick the magician picks up a lighter with his left hand (a) and lights it (b). He then pretends to take the flame with his right hand (d) and gradually moves it away from the hand that is holding the lighter (d, e). During this maneuver the magician is looking at the right hand. Once it has reached the other side, he snaps his fingers, waves his hand, and reveals that it is empty (f). At the same time the lighter is dropped into the lap. The drop takes place in full view. The magician now directs his gaze to his left hand (g), raises it, and snaps his fingers to reveal that his left hand is now also empty, and the lighter has disappeared (h).

While everyone is focused on the location where the trick is happening, he's covertly manipulating the actual trick, thus making the audience think "Wow! It's magic!"

Misdirection. That's what Trump is doing here. Comey is the shiny thing that everyone's watching. While people (especially the idiots in the media) focus on the shiny thing, Trump does more important MAGA things.

I was sitting on the fence for a short period of time leading up to and after the election (not an anti-Trumper) because I had no idea if he was going to be Trump the businessman or Trump the Politician if he got elected.

He is clearly Trump the Businessman, and he has done things time after time that make me want to stand up and cheer...

The last thing like that was his press conference when he withdrew from the Paris Accord, and actually, on national television, in front of cameras and the press, called global warming “a massive redistribution of USA wealth”.

I nearly fell over. I have been waiting for years for someone in power, ANYONE to say that...and he does!
