I liked the WWI storyline. It gave it a little distance from her and the Captain America movie. Her origin took place during WWII.

And there could be German soldiers without having them be Nazis and Uber-Nazis.

I'm guessing that it wasn't moved to the present because they wanted to leave Steve Trevor in the past. That would leave WW available to be either Superman's or Batman's love interest at some point.

With Marvel bringing Spidey back “in house” and previewing the actually played by a teenager version in Civil War, and putting lots of Robert Downey Spiderman will be fine. Really, they made giant tons of money with Antman, who sucks, and Dr Strange, whose confusing and has no mass appeal, don’t bet against them.

Though I don’t think Hillary has special powers........

If she doesn't how has she managed to stay out of jail for the last forty years?

No Baywatch is brainless entertainment.

I think I dropped about $90 on the date. Dinner at an Italian restaurant, movie tickets and cokes and popcorn at the theater.

And she was nice. I don’t mean to imply that she owed me anything in return for dinner and a movie. But she’s got to show me more interest than she has if she wants to go out with me again. Dance card scratched.

Why I might not want to go to the movies

Breitbart lists 15 examples of celebrity calls for violence. A few examples:

1. Kathy Griffin ‘Beheads’ Trump in Graphic Photo

2. Madonna – “I’ve thought a lot about blowing up the White House.”

3. Snoop Dogg “Shoots” Trump in the Head in Music Video

4. Robert De Niro: “I’d Like to Punch Him in the Face”

5. Joss Whedon: “I Want a Rhino to [F-—] Paul Ryan to Death”

6. Shakespeare in the Park Stabs ‘Trump’ to Death in Performance of ‘Julius Caesar

10. Rapper YG Threatens Trump with “[F-—] Donald Trump” Song

11. Marilyn Manson Kills ‘Trump’ in Music Video

Interstellar was NOT that great. It got over the top great reviews; but, from my POV, just so, so. Also, Arrival, same thing. Great reviews, barely OK movie.

I am finding that, more and more, the reviews are so unhelpful. They will tell you it is a great movie, but, when you see it, not so much. Perhaps they have "dumbed down" the reviewing process, because all of the movies are just mediocre. So, mediocre being the norm, slightly above mediocre is GREAT.

I love that last one with the family man in the car!! He does the part great, and as many times I’ve seen it, I stop to watch it again. Perfect actor, and perfect timing.

Hollywood makes movies for white liberal elites, black women, and violent third world types.

In short, they make movies for democrats.

That’s why they’re failing.

Baywatch?

Why would a Christian see that film in the theater OR at home?

http://www.pluggedin.com/movie-reviews/baywatch-2017

One-star. I’m not sure it can get lower.

“About 80 f-words (at least five of which are paired with “mother”). Fifty or so s-words. God’s name is misused around 30 times... Jesus name is abused eight times....” and lots more. Nudity. Promotion of sexual immorality and lust.

I didn’t kiss my second wife for a full month of dating.

We had both been married before, and were very leery of new relationships. I gave her all the space she wanted until she didn’t need space any longer.

We enjoyed each other’s companionship. We expressed that in other ways. That was good enough.

I know what you mean by “didn’t owe me”. She should give you positive feedback, even if it’s, “I really appreciate the great evening you provided.”, even if you could read that she didn’t want another with you.

Part of the problem is the caliber of guys out there these days. Some of them are very problematic. Women really do expose themselves when they go out. It’s hard for them to know exactly what kind of guy you are after one evening, and even though they realize they don’t want to go out again, they don’t know how to convey that to the guy.

One approach may be great with most guys. Then you run into one it isn’t great with, and it can really go ugly.

It is truly hard for both guys and women.

They believe, despite facts, that they can reprogram society

I would say they were very successful with Global Warming and normalizing Homosexuality and transgenderism not to mention they have turned Muslims into peace loving victims of Trump.

There is so much hidden propaganda in all movies and TV it is fun to watch for it. If you watch any of this stuff with mature kids just be sure and point it out.

I really liked Dr. Strange...Benedict Cumberbatch was superb. And I like all the Marvel movies. I find them funny and entertaining.

My favorite line from that commercial is when he confesses that he leaves the seat up on purpose. Very good commercial.

I loved Dr Strange, but I always have. But he’s always been a tough sell character for Marvel, most of the books he’s been in get canceled in under 2 years, always sold best as a side player. That’s been part of the fun of the Marvel movies, since they sold off most of their popular characters in the 90s they’ve built this empire on B, C and even D listers (I’d argue that in the comics Strange and Gaurdians are solid D, just talking sales and popularity, story quality is a different scale). When they’re basically guaranteed $200 million on characters no non-nerd has ever heard of before they first saw a trailer Spiderman is a slam dunk.

Saw “Interstellar” last night on tv. Maybe it loses something by not being on the big screen, but I didn’t think it was all that great b

It wasn't. Screen size doesn't affect the quality of the story...
