Actress Amy Brenneman thinks the right has committed an injustice. They’ve paired pro-life with the term Christian.
In a video done for the Lives of Women series, the star of “The Leftovers”, while being filmed in a church, started her PSA by saying, “I absolutely think the term ‘Christian’ has been stolen in 2017 in America by the ‘Christian Right.’”
She then proceeded to say that while she has been extremely open about having an abortion when she was 21, it was time to re-state that, because of the rise of social media. Brenneman also expressed her anger with the pro-life community. “In the age of Twitter and Facebook, I was trolled pretty viciously.”
The actress talked about how her church was “prayerfully pro-choice,” and accepted and encouraged women who had had abortions. “I don’t feel like I’m in conflict with where I go every Sunday.” While she spoke about how her religion viewed women as moral agents, she neglected to speak about the idea that abortion is murder, or that the fetus that she had moral autonomy over was human.
While Brenneman is known for her stance on Planned Parenthood and abortion, and has in the past encouraged women to ensure that unwanted babies are not born, her position is not unique. It mirrors the views of abortionist Willie Parker, who earlier this year released a memoir that told of his ambition to reconcile Christianity to abortion.
Unlike Parker, Brenneman is pretty sure she will not be able to achieve this goal. Why is that? In her video, she claimed that she was a victim of the hatred of the right. “I’m never gonna win those pro-life people over,” she told the camera. “They hate me, and they say horrible things about me, and I am in acceptance of that.”
The Lives of Women is a project from Indigenous Media, who shares their videos on Facebook. Brenneman is just one of their many subjects.

Wow. The scales on some eyes must be very thick. Yes, I am sure the Creator would have no problem with ripping a baby apart, as long as it drew a good price. Unbelievable.

Killing babies. What can be more evil?
Well, selling their body parts might be a little more evil.
If you kill babies, you are a murderer and not a Christian. If you celebrate it like the left does, you are an unrepentant murderer and hell-bound with little hope of salvation.
True. Unfortunately, some individuals are determined to eviscerate Christian churches from within. Endorsing the murder of innocent preborn babies is foundational to that effort, and many churches are doing so.
Presumably that is directed at those who promote the viewpoint that the person the article is about does.

I believe the earliest written Christian prohibition of abortion was in the Didacbe, 2nd century.

I understand that Mafia hit men pray before they do a hit as well . . . then go to the confessional to be absolved of their ‘act’ by their well-funded priest.

Jesus didn’t teach anyone to murder their children.
People don’t get to make the rules of what is right is wrong.
They try to make Jesus in their own image , they don’t know him and certainly don’t follow him. No discernment , it’s what you get when you totally ignore what is written in the bible.
