There is no Kurdistan.

They live around a mountain in 4 nations.

Iraq Kurds will have an independence referendum election on September 25th.

Soon the war with ISIS in Syria will be over and we will see how the peace accord works out for Syrian Kurds.

Yes, we need to recognize them and help them.

I have very close friends among them.

There is no Kurdistan because nobody has recognized them. There ought to be. So let’s recognize them.

There is no Palestine, though several countries and the UN General Assembly has twice recognized them. But they haven’t done the necessary work to build a state, merely demanded recognition.

The Kurds are better than that. All that remains is for them to declare themselves a state, and other states to recognize them. Not necessarily in that order.
