If you saw a story like this on TV, of course it would be evil white guys who did it.

But reality is more complicated than that. Nowadays anything can happen.

If I saw a news story saying that a White woman was attacked (rather than raped) for seeing Black men, I'd wonder first if it was Black women who did it.

They were just thugs who looked for any excuse to rape a woman, basically. Racism was a good enough reason for them.

Sort of. Run of the mill racists (of whatever race) can get insulting, even violent, but rape usually isn't on their minds. People who do things like this have to have some predisposition that way.
