Elon Musk usually tweets about mundane topics, from LA traffic to Tesla projects. On Thursday he was more dire.
"The world's population is accelerating towards collapse, but few seem to notice or care," Tesla's CEO tweeted to his nearly 10 million followers. He pointed to a November article in New Scientist magazine titled, "The world in 2076: The population bomb has imploded."
The piece, written by Fred Pearce points to Japan as a case study for what could go wrong in the relatively near future.
Rather than a meltdown where the Earth's population outstrips the planet's ability to feed everyone, we could be headed toward a more subtle but equally disastrous outcome where our population simply does not replace itself fast enough.

He has spent billions of dollars supplied by duped investors running a company that doesn't make a red cent and loses money on a quarterly basis, and if something like a global collapse doesn't happen soon, this electric car of the future gig will eventually be up... Then he will either need to be on-board that first space flight to Mars, or end up becoming Bernie Madoff's cell mate.
Something like a global collapse would surely take federal regulators minds of his fancy book keeping, so that's probably his best option for avoiding either of those two first scenarios. My take on his meandering... More wishful thinking on Elon's part.
Elon Musk is a carnival barker.
And this brainiac is wasting time and money on immature Mars missions.

This is one of his tweets I can agree with.
Musk’s real talent is getting others to pick up the tab for his various endeavors.
Population is growing in many less developed countries.
Population growth is stangnant or declining in developed countries. But even in some such countries, population is growing due to immigration, legal and otherwise.
Is she really saying that girls in the developed world , better educated people, etc just aren’t having enough children???
The human species is not in any danger of Extinction.

One way or the other, the earth will regulate life upon it.
If Musk really believes what he says, then he should want the entire world to Westernize.
This is because when countries Westernize the birth rate goes down.
So the answe to Musk’s fear is more Capitalism. Free people from government controls and the birth rate will drop.
It’s a planned collapse. Got to get rid of a few billion.
The elitis left are very much capable of attempting a mass holocaust of humanity to meet their warped totalitarian goals, either through war or engineering a plague. These people would think they are doing world and humanity a favor by murdering several billion people, they are quite dangerous. The only reason they haven’t yet is they know if they get caught it’s mass executions for the worlds elites.

No one can ever predict future population, much less how it will be or behave. It was too much, now too few. It was hunger menace, now it’s obesity catastrophe.
I am becoming sick and tired of all these useless claimed experts blabering in the name of “science”.
He’s right that I don’t care and he’s wrong about population.
Population growth will slow and contract, not accelerate and collapse.
Everybody has to make a living and this is how many make it these days: By making meaningless forecasts about things no one can control anyway.
The goal these people isn’t to “fix” anything, it’s to bend everyone to their will.
But, America isn’t here so we can all be saved by our betters. America is here so we can do whatever the hell we want.
Well some of it is.
Smart entrepreneurs find solutions (and make money) in these situations whether or not the predictions of doom have any basis in reality. And doom has never arrived so far.
Musk certainly sees a money opportunity in hyping this prediction. And, with Musk, that opportunity almost certainly will involve taking taxpayer money to do something that didn’t need to be done “for the sake of humanity”.
If this ends up being an actual threat to humanity, you can bet that people other than Musk will be the ones who actually save the world.
Just like if global warming ends up being as catastrophic as Gore claims, it won’t be Gore risking his money to develop ideas that save us. Gore and Musk’s ideas & investments are guaranteed to make them money - they’ll gladly take credit if any other good comes from them but that’s secondary.
Promoting "free love", abortion, homosexuality, and so forth in Europe and the United States is having the consequence of crashing the developed world's population while the incapable of developing world is having massive amounts of children. (which they can't feed or care for)
