WaPo: Polar Bears ‘Hurt By Climate Change’ Could Develop A Taste For Human Flesh

Those who place their faith in evolution should welcome this opportunity to have the theory field-tested. If the damn polar bears can’t evolve to tolerate tropical temperatures, they deserve to die.

At the end of the dailycaller article, an actual polar bear expert suggests that the slight uptick in attacks on humans in 2010-2014 correlates with the increased number of polar bears in protected populations, apparently stressing the natural food supply of cute cuddly seals. Older bears wind up stealing the kills of younger bears, giving the latter increased incentive to take a chomp out of nearby cute cuddly humans.

So it likely is bear population growth that is responsible ... obviously the WaPo couldn't print that - it goes against the narrative! Clearly, that polar bear expert needs to be dragged off to the re-education camps.

I woke up this morning and there are three adult polar bears surrounding my car in the driveway. I called in to work and was told if I'm not there in an hour, I'm fired. Don't know whether to make a run for the car or not. I've tried making a bunch of noise and even threw about a gallon of cat food (kibble) away from the car. Nothing. They're just staring at me.

Police didn't believe me. What should I do?

OK, so now we may have Polar Bears walking the streets of Chicago and other major cities at night searching for humans to eat? If a polar bears comes after me, my wife will have a nice white furry coat to wear in down here in FLA, if they come this far south.

First, this sounds like the plot of a Stephen King novel. :)

Second, and on a serious point, this happens when people move into their territory. I lived in Denver for ten years and there was a sad story--this family went for a hike in the mountains; went off-trail and unfortunately let their three year-old son get too far ahead.

/They found his clothes and chewed up shoes; a mountain lion had eaten him.

There are maintained parks and then there is just wilderness; different rules apply.

They’ve been eating humans as long as humans have been around, so there is truly no need for them to ‘acquire’ a taste for human flesh. It’s instinctual.
