A staff member of a Dothan church shot and killed a man who robbed him and another parishioner inside the church on Sunday night, police said.
Dothan police found Steffon Parreese Valentez Tolver, 26, dead of a gunshot wound in the parking lot of the Crossroads Baptist Church 2574 Westgate Parkway at around 10:34 p.m., police said.
Police said Tolver had entered the back door of the church and robbed a parishioner of about $50.
When Tolver then attempted to rob a staff member of the church, the staff member fired his handgun once, hitting Tolver in the upper torso. Tolver ran out the back door of the church and into the parking lot where he died.

Aaaaahhh . . . . happy endings. They’re great !!
The situation is just what most of us were thinking.
No mention in the story of the bad guy having a gun.
This could be trouble.
At least Steffon had the basic decency to vacate the premises and die outside, rather than incurring a cleaning bill for the churchgoers

For such little amounts of money... I don’t understand why he didn’t just go in the church and beg???
Ironically, the teen choir recently sang “We Will Stand Our Ground.”
Any LowLife B@$T@RD who commits robbery in the sanctuary of a Church .... Any Church ..... Deserves what he gets!
Use of force in defense of a person.
(a) A person is justified in using physical force upon another person in order to defend himself or herself or a third person from what he or she reasonably believes to be the use or imminent use of unlawful physical force by that other person, and he or she may use a degree of force which he or she reasonably believes to be necessary for the purpose. A person may use deadly physical force, and is legally presumed to be justified in using deadly physical force in self-defense or the defense of another person pursuant to subdivision (4), if the person reasonably believes that another person is:
(1) Using or about to use unlawful deadly physical force.
(2) Using or about to use physical force against an occupant of a dwelling while committing or attempting to commit a burglary of such dwelling.”
The law goes on, but I’m guessing #2 above could be used. “He grabbed Mrs. Brown by the arm...” I was a bit surprised to see that justifiable homicide in Alabama doesn’t include preventing a felony robbery without force. Perhaps it is somewhere else in the law.
Good. Dead thugs are always a step in the right direction.
Bleeding out in a parking lot on a hot Alabama summer night. I hope he had time to reflect on his actions.
Shooting a bad guy isn’t nearly as traumatic as anti-gunners claim.
It actually feels GREAT putting a savage predator on society down.

Lowlife black decedent. Entirely white church.
Luke 6:29 And unto him that smiteth thee on the one cheek offer also the other; and him that taketh away thy cloak forbid not to take thy coat also.
Hey, Black Lives Matter, Right? Problem is, Black lives don’t matter to Blacks!
Note to self: Put this on today’s NITN List! Now, is this #5 today, or is it #6?
