AL-RAQQA- Cheerful smiles on their faces despite the hideous scenes they witnessed amid IS rule of the city, by these smiles, they express how much they long to embrace freedom, some of al-Raqqa children missed their school, and some were obsessed with reaching SDF’s points, while some told the tragic story of their family burned.

A week ago, thousands of al-Raqqa civilians were liberated from the IS oppression, many of them were used as human shields including children and women, they began flooding to SDF-held areas, every one of them has a tragic story to tell.

Ritaj, a girl at 8, though exhausted by the siege, her permanent, bright smile would not leave her face, Ritaj says” we are so happy to be liberated from IS gangs, we were so afraid of mines and snipers” and so was her friend who kept silent except for poor words” my name is Aya from al-Raqqa, I am happy”

REQQA-ZAROKEN-REQQA (4)

Salma another girl at 12, expressed her joy at getting liberated and reaching SDF’s points, Salma said ”all we dreamed of was reaching fighters, we wanted you to save us, we suffered a lot amid the siege”, Salma also said that she missed her school.

There were some children who still had the memories of killing and torture in their imagination, seized by sorrow, they would not smile, as soon as we got to them, they took to narrating the story of 2 family members who were killed, other 2 families were burnt when they attempted to reach SDF points.

Young Muhamad said” two of my siblings have been killed by IS snipers because they tried to head to the liberated areas, IS gangs would say those who go for the disbelievers and pigs will be killed”. He went on” two of my siblings have been killed, and they have burnt all members of two families most of them were children; they sprayed gasoline on them and burnt them, they would say that this is the fate of any one who goes for disbelievers’ areas”. REQQA-ZAROKEN-REQQA (1)

Thousands of children have been saved since the beginning of al-Raqqa liberation campaign, still, there remains thousands of children like Ritaj, Salma and Muhamad who long for freedom, full of hopes to return to their schools and get rid of this nightmare of IS.

In spite of experiencing total horror at an early age, some children can still smile.

A friend of mine in Syria has told me that most tragic thing done to children is the brainwashing ISIS did to very young children after they were taken from their parents. ISIS raised some of them to hate, total brainwashing.

These children escaped ISIS, but some witnessed murder of family members.

God Bless those who are fighting to end this Great Evil called ISIS. May it end soon.

Chicago certainly is a War Zone.

Difference? No one there seems serious about ending it.

How does the brainwashing done by ISIS compare with the brainwashing done in our Bernie academies aka government schools?

Obama and Clinton unleashed this evil and Trump is being investigated for nothing.

ISIS raised the children as their own. 24/7 indoctrination at a very young age. Trained some of them to be suicide bombers.

Pure Evil.

Bernie cannot hold a candle to them.

Absolutely Correct.

It is our duty to help Trump end ISIS (he’s doing a great job) and help Trump Maker America Great Again.

Our government schools have an 80-90% success rate converting Christians to secular humanism, the religion which killed 100 million+ in the 20th century. That’s regular old public schools, aka pagan academies, aka Bernie academies. While we are overseas saving a few hundred Syrian children (if the story you linked is true), tens of millions of children are being converted here. The US public school graduates are a far greater threat to the Republic than anything ISIS/rebels/AQ/AN (etc) can muster.

“While we are overseas saving a few hundred Syrian children”

First, Raqqa was a town of 240,000 people before ISIS. There are a number of towns that the SDF (including Kurds) liberated. Many more children at stake.

We did not go there to liberate children, we went there to support an effort to end ISIS. Something Trump stated he would do during his campaign for POTUS.

Our Allies are the ones who have systematically made an great effort to rescue civilians caught in the battle ground.

I accept your point about the secular humanism thing.

And the story is true. Have a good friend there who I have know for years who posted it. She did not write the article, but works in the effort to reunite families. (among things)

I’m not interested in “debating” over US public schools. Some are good, some are horrible. Our local school (small town) is run by Christian administration and faculty. You can choose to believe that or not, whichever suits you.

All of them are godless in their worldview even when run by Christians.

The bottom line is, public schooling is a far greater threat to the Republic than anything happening in Syria. The Christian administration you speak of is prohibited from using anything but non-Christian (or anti-Christian) teaching plans and materials created for the purpose. While we expend blood and treasure overseas, massive social pathologies a being foisted on our people here. And you think that is an acceptable strategy?

I told you what the situation is in my town. I refuse to argue with you about any of it.

You have a right to your own opinion. So do I. And I’m an old guy.

We’re losing the Republic (most conservatives would agree with that) and you don’t think that that is more of a threat than ISIS? The situation is akin to thinking that spraying a stranger’s lawn for fire ants, 100 miles away is more important than dealing with your child developing a crack habit. Unbelievable.
