could be that men are far more likely to be killed by someone other than a spouse - and yet his likelihood of being killed by his spouse could still be greater than a wife’s likelihood of being killed by her husband.

I see your point. That is a statistical possibility. On the other hand, men are much more likely than women to commit murder, which shifts the probability back toward men's being less likely to be killed by a spouse/lover/ex, unless spouse/lover/ex is a man.

I agree that age and race are better predictors of who is to be murdered and who will do it. As it were.

From this I would figure that [homosexuality] has very little affect on the numbers.

Maybe, but on the other hand, young black men are a small percentage of the population - 4%, maybe - but they commit a very disproportionate amount of murder and other violent crime.

What do you mean by that?

“you guys” responding with their own thoughts on the subject and because they differ than your feelings, we are all “you guys.”

I’ve been married a little over 40-yrs. Couldn’t be happier. In my life I’ve seen my share of guys that were abused by the ex and the system, too include one friend paying for a child that was not his. (Found out too late and statute of limitation to challenge paternity had passed).

Are they bitter?

Some are and rightfully so. Some just move on, wiser and more reluctant to enter into a committed relationship.

Are divorced women bitter and angry? You bet. Many are and in my view, more women are bitter than men.

I sit on the sidelines and thank God I am not out there, too many women with “baggage.” I’m sure the same can be said of men.

Teaching college, I, as a male, am a minority surrounded by women that that carry huge chips on their shoulders, and in the faculty lounge they openly denigrate males.

The worst are the ones that take that attitude into the classroom.

So, here they are (most are divorced), fussing about men and all their failures and flaws, and at the same time bemoan the fact that they can’t find a good man and that makes them ANGRY (”I’m a great catch, men should see that”. . .so says the loud angry feminist)...

Re-reading your post, maybe you didn’t mean it to be, well, kinda provocative. If so, no harm. If it was an attempt to “poke the bear,” no worries as my post was without anger.

Cheers,
