21 July 2017 – The Emergency Situations Ministry extended an emergency warning including the collapse of trees, damage to power transmission lines, damage to the roofs of houses and unstable structures.
The department asked everyone to be cautious: if possible, wait out the bad weather inside, and if already out on the roads to beware of billboards and shaky structures. Also advised not to park cars under trees and billboards.

I kept telling my California friends their heat this summer must be due to cooler than usual weather for someone else. I didn’t have to know where for that to be a good guess.

I agree... Adding the word Snow might have been sensationalism considering the site... Honestly I should have caught that before posting. I pulled it from my RSS feed aggregator and didn’t go to check it. The site has been pretty reliable for the most part.

Nothing remarkable about summer rain. Summer hail storms are not remarkable either — especially at Russian (or Canadian) latitudes. Snow maybe worth mentioning — unless we’re talking about mountain tops, or anywhere near the arctic circle.
Sorry, I’m no warmist; but, there’s not enough here to get worked up about.
Northern CO, mountains, Front Range. I guess Denver has been hot but the storms moving through the Rockies descend on the plains too. What I can say for certain is that it has been cooler and wetter than usual for this location.
It’s been wetter and cooler in Western NY this year, i’m praying for a cold winter and snow to my eyeballs!

I will happily take every bit I can get, as a matter of fact i’ll spend 2 weeks in the Michigan UP and 2 weeks in Northern Maine thru the winter to make sure I get enough!
