If you're keen to earn a bit of extra cash while potentially saving this planet from alien infection, NASA has an opening for you. The US space agency is looking to hire a Planetary Protection Officer who will both protect our planet from the Martians and make sure that humans venturing into space do not contaminate other worlds.

The position is well worth the cost to the administrators, as will be seen when invaders from space overwhelm us and the human masses, with pitchforks and torches, storm the space center looking for a scapegoat to forfeit one head.

We have an alien infestation.. but it’s land based. They are watching the skis when they should be watching the ground.
Since, I think, the first moon landings, when we started quarantining all the astronauts involved, lest they'd become infected with some strange alien virus.
Probably has vastly more to do with sterilization of our space probes going out. If there is life on Mars, it is probably within 100 feet of our landers there.

Mankind has never stepped foot on the moon. That was all faked on a backstage in Hollywood.

I can answer that. Unintentionally, one of our Lunar spaceships got a little contamination on it, because a NASA employee sneezed. The bacteria *survived* for 2.6 years on the Moon, in vacuum, temperature extremes, and harsh radiation and was returned to Earth. A variety of Streptococcus.
The big question remains: what if it didn’t just survive, but was changed?
I am sure they can find someone on Coast to Coast AM, who would qualify.
What are the requirements for this job (if any)? Where can I apply?

Are you talking about Surveyor 3? Apollo 12 landed near that probe; the astronauts walked over to it, cut off some pieces and brought them back.
So which SuperHero is going to apply?
A species that conquered space travel could overwhelm us with little effort.
It would take Superman to defend the earth.
