Aside from the make believe fake news scandals Democrats and their allies in the liberal press continue to push about Russia and President Trump, a real scandal involving cybersecurity issues has enveloped Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, D-Fla.
Ms. Schultz is the former chairwoman of the Democratic National Committee and a long-time crony of Hillary Clinton, the two-time loser in her bid to become president.
At the heart of the scandal is Imran Awan, 37, a Pakistani-born Muslim. Hired as an information technologist by Rep. Gregory Meeks, D-N.Y., in 2004, he started working for Ms. Schultz in 2005. Spreading himself around, he successfully parlayed his IT position into employment for several other Democrat House members, eight in all. He put his wife, Hina Alvi on the House payroll. He also put his brother Abid, then Abid’s wife, Natalia Sova, and Awan’s young brother, Jamal, 20, on the House payroll. Jamal was hired in 2014 with an annual salary of $160,000, which says Wall Street Journal columnist Kimberley Strassel is what a chief of staff is paid.

Official documents, court records and multiple interviews suggest the Awan crew may have engaged in government fraud, tax evasion, bank fraud, extortion, bankruptcy fraud and insurance fraud. More alarmingly, money (our tax dollars?) could have been funneled overseas.

ITEM--- Wasserman Schultz drags out the tired, smelly "Islamaphobia" excuse to explain her actions, after every other Dumbocrat----now scared s***-less----fired the shady Pakis.
ITEM---D/W/S stupidly blocked police from examining a hidden laptop tied to Imran-----braindead D/W/S failed to comprehend that she undercut her own explanation. If Wasserman Schultz really wanted the truth (other than Islamaphobia), she would not prevented L/E from obtaining evidence that would help prove her point.
ITEM----Wasserman Schultz was reckless to assume anti-Muslim bias was the only plausible explanation. She would have denied Awan access to her computers after House authorities banned Imran from the House network in early February.
ITEM--- Wasserman Scultz not only kept Awan on staff after the ban, but she employed no other IT person to administer her tech needs, according to payroll records........ suggesting that Awan might well have maintained access to Wasserman Schultz’s computers AFTER the ban.
ITEM---D/W/S said Imran Awan was working in an “advisory” role “providing her advice on technology issues.” She did not say who performed the office’s computer work after the ban.....if not Awan.
ITEM---Apparently, Wasserman Schultz planned to keep sending tax dollars to Awan in Pakistan for six months, until his scheduled return. He remained on D/W/S's payroll----sucking up tax dollars----- until his arrest.
Not stupid. This was all part of a plan to destroy our republic.

Because normal hiring would go through the executive branch, and that would breach the separation of powers to put the executive in charge of the legislature’s information systems.
Imagine Obama running the House GOP’s information systems. That’s why it’s not done.
