WASHINGTON – The Republican Party should have done more to shut down the birther movement that Donald Trump led, one GOP senator said Sunday. “I wish that we, as a party, would have stood up, for example, when the birtherism thing was going along,” Sen. Jeff Flake (R-Ariz.) told NBC’s “Meet the Press.” “A lot of people did stand up but not enough.” Long before he was a presidential candidate, Trump led an effort to discredit President Obama by doubting he was a US citizen. Obama was born in Hawaii.

Better yet, have Alabama or Texas choose your senators, you seem unable to make wise decisions.

All it would have taken was an investigation. A cheap, easy one.

“””””Trump led an effort to discredit President Obama by doubting he was a US citizen. Obama was born in Hawaii.””””

Actually...hillary started that.
And, we know he was born in Hawaii because his fake but accurate phony birf certificate says so.

Here is a better idea....Why doesn’t the gop stand up and shut down the Russia Russia Russia thing instead?

There needs to be only 1 primary challenger since there is no primary runoff

States with runoff primary provisions. Eleven states have provisions for primary runoff elections: Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Louisiana, Mississippi, North Carolina, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota, Texas, and Vermont. Vermont holds runoffs only in the event of a tie.

Republican Arizona Sen. Jeff Flake’s approval rating is at a drastically low number in his home state after he has continued to bash President Donald Trump according to a new Democratic Poll.

The left leaning polling group, Public Policy Polling (PPP) found only 18 percent approve of the job Flake is doing. Meanwhile 62 percent disapprove and 19 percent are not sure how they feel about him. These numbers come after Flake has continued to criticize Trump throughout his presidency and refused to endorse him during the 2016 presidential campaign.

“I wish that we, as a party, would have stood up, for example, when the birtherism thing was going along,” Sen. Jeff Flake (R-Ariz.) told NBC’s “Meet the Press.”

Do you also wish that you, as a party, would stand up as the "Russia Collusion" thing is going on?

Arizona, please do not re-elect this wretched man.

Unfortunately, I only have one vote....

Trust me; no one is more embarrassed about our two screwed up mentally ill leftist senators who pose as republicans than us AZ freepers.

We voted for the other guy (or lady). We have a messed up primary system in place. A lot of dems voted for flake and mccain because they know they were secretly dems in rep clothing.

We hope the people understand now but only the next election will tell us for sure and we are also turning blue due to all the retired leftists moving here to get out of CA or left leaning cold weather states. Add in all Hispanics and we have a real problem holding the red line. Texas has the same problem.

Obama invented the birth controversy. He (falsely) told his own literary agent that he was born in Kenya. Then he lied to the world about being born in HI. The only people who don’t know this are those who have not acquainted themselves with the facts.

Jeff Flake has an 18% approval rating in Arizona now.

He’s toast in next year’s primary.

Like Dyin’ John, he’s going out like a true a-hole.

If you want to be even more disgusted, look up pizza gate Tony Posedsta’s apartment (Art) John’s brother. Makes me want to puke. But it should be seen.

The Republican Party should have done more to shut down the birther movement that Donald Trump led, one GOP senator said Sunday.

IIRC, there wasn't a single senator or representative who gave the birther movement as much as a minute's consideration. They were entirely ignored. What more should the GOP have done?

Jeff Flake just has a stick in his ass because President Trump.
